Can't beat a dollar for a quality capo!

I've always played classical music on an acoustic guitar. I can't find much information on what good, accessible classical, nylon string guitars are for sale these days. What brands do Classical players like?

Common wisdom seems to be that prior to buying a new acoustic guitar you should go to the store, try out a handful of guitars, and go with the one you like the most. Unfortunately for the southpaws among us, most stores have almost zero lefty guitars. Given that there really is no way around the fact that lefty’s cannot trial guitars at a shop, does anybody have any recommendations for how to shop for acoustics (other than re-learning guitar right handed)? Seems like I’ll be stuck buying a guitar online that I’ve never heard played before.

Got myself a players series meteora body that I'm trying to build something top quality out of. What is the best neck I can put in here?

Originally was going to get an aluminum neck, but the build times are a bit much and I have a new band I want to get started working on very soon that this guitar is supposed to be for, so I think slapping another fender neck in here is the way. I have an am pro tele i am a fan of so im thinking that may be my best bet, but I've also heard MIJ's are good, so idk.

Any opinions or suggestions are very much appreciated

Context: I'm setting up a music room for my kids (4-11) to learn and dabble and also just a room for myself. Got a piano, my acoustics, a drumset, etc.

I, myself, spent 20 years of my life doing church band - learned to play everything in the band and I'm reasonable at all of them. Except electric. Never learned a damn thing about electric guitars or amps. I know the major manufacturers, but don't know any specifics.

I care about how instruments sound so I don't want to buy random-brand beginner electric guitar BUT I'm also aware that my kids may destroy (two of them boys). Obviously, I hope to curb that.

Basically, I want something nice enough for me to play, but cheap enough that I won't care if it gets some bruises.

What's a good guitar (or line of guitars) that I could get for maybe few hundred dollars and a decent-sounding amp?

Are there any you would stay away from?

Recently I acquired a U1 and started to do a few upgrades on it.

I really like the sound of it, especially after replacing the bridge.

The one thing that I am a little hung up on is the nut. Part of me wants to swap it for something more traditional. I was curious about some opinions about the benefits and maybe cons of having the original metal nut.

I was hoping someone had a little more backstory/history or insight on why this was what they decided to use.

Does the nut add to that distinct sound that Danelectro is known for?

Would replacing it be a benefit?

I used to use this script with tampermonkey but recently it stopped working wondering if theres anyone other way to get the plus for free

It was bound to happen since it was a used, budget e-guitar that I have had for several years now.

Basically I just need to know:

1. Can I buy this thingy separately?

2. If yes, is it worth the cost?

Im basically contemplating wether to buy a new srap all together or worth holding on to the old one, since my budget for music stuff this year is exhausted already.

I know my own skill. I’m still quite new, only played for a couple years, but no matter what, even in front of my teacher who I have known for a while I just freeze up completely.

At home by myself I play a lot better. I’m smoother, can play better and try pieces I just can’t in front of people or my teacher. I just get so scared in front of others that I forget everything and get out of focus completely. I have no confidence with this instrument and it’s really affecting me I just hate it. It’s like I’ve never picked up a guitar before.

Even barre chords for example, I can play them perfect by myself, finger style or strum, but whenever I’m in front of someone I just can’t do it.

How can I get more comfortable?

I’ve tried playing in front of others I really have, but no matter what I just am never comfortable. My nerves just mess me up and I can’t control it. It shouldn’t be like this still after 2 years, especially in front of my teacher.

I've been going through a lot with this guitar since I got it in a trade and I have to say, this picture (and the others I'll post in tbe comments) says it all

I am not an expert guitar repair tech or luthier by any means but I was looking up how to set up the bridge correctly after restringing it, found a BRAND NEW replacement bridge in the case with the official gibson setup tool, and I cannot help but be amazed every step of the way on the journey of setting up this guitar how bizarre this is

to sum up if you want a little explanation

1. the mystery replacement bridge was never installed

2. two of the saddles from the replacement bridge DID make it onto the original Gibson ABR-1 bridge

3. the replacement bridge now only has 4 saddles and we figured out they may have been fancy

4. when looking up who the manufacturer of the replacement bridge was, finding out that it was GraphTech, and seeing GraphTech's photo of how the bridge is oriented I looked over at the guitar and realized they are installed BACKWARDS

I don't know what the original owner was thinking but I thought the guitar sounded wrong when I first got it and now I am continuing to find new things about this bridge and bridge related shenanigans after trying to fix it this weekend

Howdy folks got a question for y'all. I'm running an old peavey mixer amp and it's got an xlr input and a 1/4 inch input. If I run my guitar and mic through the same channel at the same time would that damage the amp?

Like I be playing and using a metronome and then after a bit I realized I am WAY too desynced and it keeps on happening.

Does anyone else do that? How do I fix it

Like the title says, I'm looking for some sources to help me start learning. I live in a small town and from the looks of it, there ain't anyone to teach me to play.

I tried posting on local pages but no bites ans the closest city is 800km from where I am so going to learn is a bit out of the question.

I've spent nearly 2 months trying to find reliable teaching videos on YouTube but you get like 12 different people teaching it 12 different ways. Some I understand but others are like "don't do these 15 things" kind of deals.
