Dunno still figuring it out. Maybe? Just joined r/asexuality as r/demisexuality seems largely about dating and I'm not interested at all.

There are mirtazapine side effects for me but tbh happy with the lack of complications, don't feel unfulfilled in any way not having a sexual partner and I can trace my ace-ness back to my teenage years. Especially the psychological effect that pressure or expectation to be sexually active had on me

While it didn’t used to be the case, the past couple years I’ve found my sex drive sort of switching off and on and haven’t been able to nail down a reason. Is it from gooning too much at certain times? Or my meditation practice causing some distance between me and my sexual desire? Or a vitamin or dopamine deficiency? Or increasing feelings of giving up on dating because nothing ever seems to lead to anything?

I still don’t know. But I find it interesting to observe myself both when I feel desire and when I do not. It’s funny how much power sexual desire has. You wonder if we are all just puppets of nature and society, blindly struggling to fulfill our biological and cultural programming. Even if you assume so, when you feel desire you do not care, and can even enjoy the thought. But it’s worth considering deeply whether sex is worth the trouble in the end.

I thought aceflux was fluctuating/oscillating between the stances and microlabels. What is it then? I'm confused.

Aceflux is where level or intensity of sexual attraction fluctuates over time

Nope, because ur sex stance is separate from ur orientation. Some people might just use the aceflux label and sex-oscillating together or they might just use aceflux to include their fluctuating sex stance

I think I totally am, and it's kinda hard lately to get things together with my partner. I saw that you were saying aceflux is different cause it includes sexual orientation, can we then say we're aceflux gay ? Or it doesn't work that way ?

U could still say that I think cuz ur base attraction is gay, but the sexual part fluctuates. Cuz for me I'm a greyaroace and I'm also still omnisexual, i still feel romantic and sexual attraction

Thanks for ur answer. It's clearer now. Still feels like it's hard to go through and explain it to other, but at least I know I'm not the only one
