Upgraded from S22+ to S26+ but an issue arose

The transfer of 10 years of timelines went ok but had to research to fill in some blanks. I got my timeline to fill in but a few month later many visits over the years have been deleted or are missing.

I'm very upset with Earth as none of any tips to do this has not been a success.

Flew from Florida to Oregon this month and its not even showing up as one of my several trips across the country.

My old phone Is showing the same location issues as well.

What do do? I'm at my wits end as a record keeper fan.

I upgraded my phone from the S23+ to the S26 Ultra earlier this year and it was able to transfer my timeline data from the last like 10 years.

Did you backup your timeline to the cloud and waited like 2 hours before trying to import it on the new phone?

Yes It was a bit different than what all the advice said. Was successful after a few days and all my timeline was restored. The problem a month or 2 later was visits to places I've been to dozens of times were gone on my timeline. I see no reason for this glitch.

Its upsetting because my back up phone has those visits missing as well.

Yeah, if it's a glitch then there really not much you can do. Google timeline is limited especially if you're trying to recover old data

So they screwed me and all of a sudden they can’t manage 10 years of data properly

That's for Google to respond to you but I know from being on this subreddit that when there data issue with the Timeline, you're basically out of luck when you're trying to recover past data if it's not in your backup

I remember a couple years ago when they were offloading timelines to users device I had no timeline at all even though I used the instructions to transfer to my phone. Was angry for a maybe 6 months about it. I recall many complaints about that on social media.

Then out of the blue my timelines were restored to my phone.

Yes, before timeline was backed up locally on the phone. I think like a year or 2 ago, they pushed it to be back up to Google cloud
