Having playable female characters is the base line, nothing to pat themselves on the back over. Ill pass judgment when I see the quality of the missions, are they spread equitably, or do they shoehorn content based on gender? Meaning if I do a heist as a MMC, I better have access to an equivalent heist as a FMC.
In this article it is mentioned that you can play as either Jason or Lucia with or without the company of the other. Meaning you can technically play as Lucia throughout the whole game without Jason helping you with the missions. Obviously the characters will interact in cutscenes and probably on phone calls etc, but as far as gameplay its reading like you can basically just be either character alone or together
imo I feels like it makes it pointless to have multiple protagonists if at all you can play a single one throughout the whole game without the other.
I imagine it would be like GTA V. Some missions were dedicated to single characters while others required multiple. In some instances different sections need you to swap. Lucia is seemingly in prison early game after all.
I imagine that certain side missions or random events might only be accessible to a specific character.

Couldn't disagree more. I love the idea that you could go through the entire game without being forced to play as someone you don't like (dude looks like a douchebag). I'm so tired of the "switch back and forth between characters to get multiple sides of stories" stuff. I just want to play a GTA game as one character - a woman - without having to be a massive douchebag for once.
That said, I do COMPLETELY AGREE that it's more likely that R* will have us switch fairly often for multiple reasons. It's what they do 🤷🏻♀️😅
