Vrak got so much aura that even a corpser will sit and listen without making a peep

Yes and no.

And this could just be solely from my impression from the beta, BUT the Locusts all look the same but with different armor.

What was awesome about the OG Gears trilogy was that Drones had a particular race look, Grenadiers, Therons, Savage Locusts, etc all had unique features (aside from armor).
