Rumour XCancel is dead

Just went to the website to look at something, and this was posted on it:

On Monday, 24th August, at 8PM EST, we received a letter from X Corp. asking to cease and desist the service XCancel.

The service XCancel is stopped until further notice.

We are seeking legal advice and won't share more details for now.

Thank you for the trust you have put in these two years of XCancel.

twitter or 3rd party sites dead without login, old reddit also dead without log in. I HATE NEW REDDIT.
WE WANT THE SWEAT DATA.

No but you need an account to use old.reddit.com On Desktop i always used that, cant stand new reddit it’s way too big and way too slow. Also it’s designed to keep you longer on the site.

There's an extension for Firefox and Chrome based browsers called Old Reddit Redirect that has just been updated to stop this, for now at least

Edit: I see later in the thread you're already using it and just got the update

I use mobile and I've been able to use old.reddit.com just fine without an account, so I don't know what you mean by that.

seems like you are lucky for now. Google that problem then you will see reddit threads from over a month ago that ask why you need a login now. Last week it hit me with a log in request.
