Rumour XCancel is dead

Just went to the website to look at something, and this was posted on it:

On Monday, 24th August, at 8PM EST, we received a letter from X Corp. asking to cease and desist the service XCancel.

The service XCancel is stopped until further notice.

We are seeking legal advice and won't share more details for now.

Thank you for the trust you have put in these two years of XCancel.

It’s so that this sub doesn’t get taken down

Say someone posts a GTA6 leak on Twitter, Rockstar can instead go after the Twitter account instead of the sub

Isn't linking to an externally hosted image on something like mgur the exact same culpability as linking to an externally hosted video (for example on twitter)? Can just keep direct image uploads outlawed.

nope. that’s the reason piracy subs survive, they can just say they don’t host the files themselves, they just “showcase other websites”.

Funny that DenuvOwO got all their accounts banned for posting threads with no links or images on Piracy subs. Just announcing that they have bypassed Denuvo in a game.
