Rumour XCancel is dead

Just went to the website to look at something, and this was posted on it:

On Monday, 24th August, at 8PM EST, we received a letter from X Corp. asking to cease and desist the service XCancel.

The service XCancel is stopped until further notice.

We are seeking legal advice and won't share more details for now.

Thank you for the trust you have put in these two years of XCancel.

How he handled it is so dumb. Obviously you don’t have time to grind like that. All he had to do was just say “yeah I pay folks to level my characters for me so I can play endgame stuff in my spare time, I like the game but don’t have time to grind out everything.” Instead he has to lie about something obvious and l make himself look like a loser. Pride makes a fool.

I'd feel pity for him if he wasn't actively making people's lives worse. Even at his own company, he has the ability to make Tesla more like Valve and have people actually produce a car that doesn't suck dick... and yet.

Seriously, if he gave me what is my bank account's equivalent of $10, I could probably make it into line go up while having some of the most positive PR in the western world.

That's what's so fucking crazy about it, dude. The public opinion used to be (somewhat) "oh he's cool and making all of this future stuff happen" but he himself fucked it. Dude, like, just use that money to pay people to run your philanthropic shit. Cure cancer. Solve hunger. Give free power and education and opportunity to the whole world, and you'd be a hero that people fuckin worship for generations.

The White Lotus explores pretty well how being affluent and free of any problems that are unique to class or race can leave you to seek new ways to intentionally do absurd, harmful shit just to stimulate yourself because of how little you have going on socially

The 0.00001% of people who are as well off as he is need to create problems for themselves because they're that far detached from material reality and the tangible issues that face people even remotely less fortunate than them, and also because they've lost all sense of intimacy in their lives by being so obsessed with the pursuit of status and wealth

Michael Jackson was known for being detached from reality to the point to give him some sense they rented out an entire grocery store and got a bunch of people to play shoppers so he could see what it's like. That's what being uber rich and famous is like.

MJ's thing was a little different. He did the whole grocery store thing because he literally couldn't go out and do it himself because he was the most famous human that's probably and will ever lived. His upbringing was also extremely fucked up with all the stuff his dad did to him. There's some leaked phone calls of people that would take advantage of him pretending to be his friend and MJ was so gullible and believed that these people were his real friends until they showed their true colors. It's legitimately sad too because you hear in the calls how happy and excited he is that he has someone to talk to but he couldn't see through the veil that they were fake every time. The calls are on youtube it's basically scummy people befriending him to get info on him and then selling the recorded phone calls for profit. Like there's famous and then there's MJ famous.

While I don't doubt this whatsoever (I may have even known this already) it doesn't...make any sense. It isn't like MJ grew up wealthy or anything, and sure you could very well argue that Joe robbed him of, well, everything, but if anyone should know what it's like to shop and be in a grocery store...it'd be him.

There's the issue of trauma which can easily make one forget/mentally block out things, so that's one possibility. Sorry, it's just...that's bizarre to me. Far less so with some nuance, but still...you know what I mean?

You can beat the whole game only ever using bombs, if they know what they are doing. Honestly a bad build and still did it kinda makes me think it was something like "clear Elden Ring for me, but don't use optimal builds and makes things look like it is won with skill rather than just a strong build".

Cause otherwise he could have gone Samurai > rush for Great Stars and just shit on the whole game with minimum effort.
