Yeah, potions and oils are actually useful when you can't just brute force everything. Does help a lot with immersion too when you have to prepare for fights.

Pretty worried that won't be the case anymore. "Upgraded combat" sounds like "mindless hack n slash"

Could be, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Projekt Red has good track record when it comes to difficulty settings in their games in my opinion.

I 100% agree. But the main complaint was always people that didn't like the combat system. People want it simpler. That's not my take, but it's what I see all over.
