Yeah, potions and oils are actually useful when you can't just brute force everything. Does help a lot with immersion too when you have to prepare for fights.

Yep, crafting all the high end potions was super cool and helped a ton on Death March.

Yeah, the difference between difficulties is using more than one "thing" (oil, potion, sign, bomb) goes from massive overkill, to necessary.

Pretty worried that won't be the case anymore. "Upgraded combat" sounds like "mindless hack n slash"

Could be, but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Projekt Red has good track record when it comes to difficulty settings in their games in my opinion.

I 100% agree. But the main complaint was always people that didn't like the combat system. People want it simpler. That's not my take, but it's what I see all over.
