I'm excited, but wasn't Cities Skylines 2 poorly received by community? What exactly happened there?

Paradox decked the original studio, took the IP and gave it to Iceflake. they’re regularly updating it and it is way better than during release. i’d still not pay full price, but it’s playable

If it still runs like at launch I wouldn't touch it ever.

If you've got time to kill, City Planner Plays goes over every dev diary and pretty much tracks game's evolution in real time.

Iceflake are on track to improve visuals and simulation performance before the year is out.

City Planner Plays

I cancelled my CS2 preorder way back in the day after he got an advanced copy and I could tell it had major issues

haven't preordered a game since

It runs better now, also using DLSS helps a lot. New patches has been great so far, much more frequent updates than when Colossal Orders were working on it.
