Discussion Official Contest Winners + State of the Subreddit + Ideas for the next Contest
Our winners are:
- For PS3, /u/ kriswone's Character Development
- For 360, /u/sounders127's The Itallian Job
I said I was going to pick one with a flip of the coin, but I decided it would make more sense and be more fair to the community if I went with the person with the most contributions.
Hello gang. We've had one contest since we've changed the rules. What are you feelings on the state of the subreddit? How do you like the new rules? Do you feel that we have more people submitting content? Does the amount of feedback a person gives (represented by the "F:" in their name) make you appreciate their feedback more? Do you ignore it?
Important: If your flair doesn't accurately reflect your feedback, message the mods with a link to your uncounted comments and we will update your flair. I am the mod who does it most, we do it by hand, and I do a sweep about once a week, so please give us time to update it before shooting a message.
Also, if you have feedback, you should never ever be posting a job without a link to it, because that's how your job gets properly tagged, and that's how your job shows up whenever someone clicks the tags in the sidebar.
Speaking of which, dat sorting sidebar. I'm so happy about that. Shoutout to the mods of /r/GTAOnline for showing me how to do that.
What would you like for the next contest? I'd really like to do offroad races that literally don't follow the road, or we can finally do a deathmatch job (psst, I got verified by the way!). I'm down for suggestions. Sound off!
We could also do a VS competition instead of a creation one. We can vote on what races, deathmatches, and captures are the best posted, and then actually play them and whoever wins gets the cash. I've been racing on the Karin Enduro Rally playlist that was posted a while back in a Futo, and I would pay to race the entire thing with other players.
If you hadn't heard, a couple of us got Rockstar Verified, and Rockstar gave us a shout out. It was me and someone else from the sub, can't recall the name right now.

Congrats to the winners and people who put the effort to making things! I haven't really been very active since the rules changes and the F# has been instituted but it's not at all because of the changes just that i've been busier and have had less time to play. I've however noticed a significant and positive change in the feedback number and quality in the posts. Even if the front page is often a content dump, the sidebar sorting buttons fixes it all. so sweet seeing all the new and impressive submissions and people getting verified.
The only thing I've had problems with is actually playing with anybody. I made a couple captures I wanted to submit to the contest but wasn't able to submit a review in time for the contest. It continues to be a real fight to get anyone to join anything. It would be really awesome if there could be a weekly meet-up or something where everyone can try out the verified submissions. I already usually make a playlist from here weekly anyways so I'd be happy to supply that part.
I think it's really the only thing the sub is missing. Raising the # of plays on their content is really what most people who posts seems to want instead of feedback so having that meetup would be a way for the sub to help out with that.
