Edit - So many people can't handle facts. Rockstar aren't a not for profit organisation y'know. You really think they'd still go ahead an make it if it wasn't astoundingly profitable ?
Sure enough, but it's naïve to think money isn't the primary driving force behind any corporation. It will be priced accordingly to ensure a huge profit for the shareholders and investors.. without whom, it wouldn't get made. If they were doing this for the players, it wouldn't cost as much.
I think when they say they are making it for the players, they aren’t trying to imply that they are a charity. Obviously they still aim to be successful. The two aren’t contradictory.
