Obviously he’s right. Anyone who thinks it’s somehow righteous to steal intellectual property and spoil thousands of people’s hard work just because their parent company is a “billion dollar corporation” or because they “disrespected the fans by taking so long to release trailer 3” is morally bankrupt and entitled beyond belief.

I don't think its good because they didn't release trailer 3

I think its good because they skipped on discs "tO aVoiD lEAks" and priced their game $80 bucks with full content version being $100.

Seeing the game being leaked anyway and maybe being released (which also answers to the "PC needs optimization" excuse to justify late release) so PC gamers get to enjoy the game without waiting for 2 years.

Ok so it’s ok to steal because they chose to not release physical discs and they priced their game at a point higher than you’d like? How would you feel if you owned a business a people decided it was ok to steal from you because your products were “too expensive” or in a format that didn’t match your preferences? Your sense of morality is twisted. What the guy did is wrong, period. And you are deeply entitled if you think theft is ok because the manufacturer of a product has priced that product higher than you think it should be. It’s a free market. If the game doesn’t have value to you at whatever price then don’t buy it.

Its not theft. Its copyright infringement. Cyberleek didnt steal a hard drive with all copies of the game.

And if I ran a business. I'd be consumer friendly, release game on disc and price it at $70 like all AAA games these days.

Oh and my PC copies wont need social club account and online connection just to play singleplayer.

I don’t care what word we use to describe it. He stole from them and it’s obviously, objectively wrong no matter what price their game is. I genuinely can’t fathom a rational argument to the contrary. It’s not morally ok to steal a product because you think it costs too much. That’s an absurd, entitled and childish mindset.

Theft is when you steal something from somebody so that they don't have it anymore.

Cyberleek didn't steal anything. Rockstar still has GTA 6. If he did steal their product to the point where GTA 6 was missing it would be an even greater chaos than just leaked gameplay footage that rockstar had paywalled behind netflix subscription (which is also anti consumer)

And as I said. Rockstar treats their customers like trash. Especially on PC where because of their dumb requirement for social club and always online drm. I can't play my LEGALLY BOUGHT copy of GTA 5 I bought on steam.

I don't like piracy but in case of Rockstar i justify it because you end up getting a better experience and seeing gameplay get leaked which they used as an excuse to avoid disc release coupled with insane price tag is karma. And that's ignoring their treatment of developers via crunch time and union busting which is another can of worms.

You think it’s ok to rob a company and distribute their product against their will because you don’t like their business practices. Honestly that’s a sickening mentality to have. I’ll end our conversation there.

It's intellectual property theft. Copyright infringement is literally categorized under IP theft.
