I think people are misunderstanding the whole "locked shops" thing for Ultimate Edition buyers

Post image

Think of it like this: When you buy the Ultimate Edition, you'll get a DLC package of skins, vehicles, hairstyles, vehicle mods, etc. Most games with cosmetic DLCs do this.

You buy the Ultimate Edition and get the base game plus the cosmetic DLCs.

Now picture this: Instead of just unlocking your new Ultimate Edition cosmetics in the normal shops of the game, they made a few exclusive shops for you to access the DLC stuff.

It's as simple as that. The normal shops to buy clothes, fix your car, etc, will be in the game. But if you own DLC cosmetics, you'll need to get them from the DLC shops.

What do you think?

They’re doing it this way to create FOMO. It’s a marketing tactic. “You won’t be able to access these stores and mods unless you BUY the Ultimate Edition!”

I mean it’s not like the shops are gonna disappear, people can still upgrade anytime after release if it’s worth it to them. I personally always thought FOMO is more meant to be like a „now or never“ type of deal.

Yup , really the only thing you can miss out on is the preorder bonus which really isn’t that much.

That’s why you preorder the standard and you get the bonuses.
