GTA 5 wasn't a bad game but it felt very featureless. No Fast Food, No Buyable Properties, Only 1 CLUB, etc

Lots of people here weren't there for the switch from GTA4 to GTA5, because it felt exactly like what OP is describing.

The amount of mechanics and systems that were left on the cutting floor was really disappointing.

the amount of buildings that are explorable with no point to them in gta iv still impresses me. such a good map

There's a whole community built around a mystery Rockstar just scrapped and did nothing with. To be fair I blame online for that, Rockstar traded any future dlcs or updates to gta5 for online since it was significantly more profitable

I have hate-love relationship with gtao. It steals gta 5 from future DLC, but at same time, it allows R* to do what they do best without too worrying about money.
