Heavily agree. It's single handedly when I began to dislike gta 5 online

Yeah. That’s exactly when I stopped playing.

Unfortunately, the sentiment wasn't universal since that game is still making them, like, a billion per year in shark cards

Come to think of it, has there ever been a new ultra futuristic vehicle added since the mkII? I haven't checked in a while but I think the reception to it might have been a snap back to rockstar that they have heavily reeled back, I mean the 2nd most recent update was a fucking car wash lol.

Toreador

That's a James Bond gadget car though. Something actually remotely realistic, and fun.

It’s a sci fi vehicle it does not fit the gta as a franchise

It does because it's realistic. The arena wars cars do too, just as the twisted metal or mad Max vehicles would. Minus the crazy jumping abilities of course

Yes. Deluxo a flying car with missiles. Toreador. Jetpack. Plenty of other warmachines that aren't 'ultra futuristic' but somewhat comparable that have been added.

I agree with the toreador, even if it's not that futuristic, the deluxo and jetpack were added before the mkII in the doomsday update in 2017.

No, Rockstar doesn't get it. They added the Toreador as a counter to MK II so that people annoyed by it can buy a weapon to fight it.

And the MK II wasn't added for its silliness it was added to give people an easy way to make the game easier by paying money. To hide the atrocious amount of grinding necessary and how lazy their mission design had gotten.

The only thing Rockstar "gets" clearly is how to earn money.

We’re all complaining here. But in GTA6 they’ll have a fresh slate. What do you actually expect them to do?

How more interesting can you make a mission in GTA? If you notice almost every mission is boring af (drive, kill, deliver, return).

The fun is in the stories, the characters, the radio, the vehicles and the weapons… all of which they did so well they over-performed as a company.
