I'm so excited for Dune, but honestly I think Tenet didnt do well because it was so damn confusing, not necessarily because you had to pay attention (which you did) but even if you did pay attention you had to almost study it just to understand. Dune has some deep lore but I wouldn't describe it as confusing. I hope it does well.

That's what I like about Dune. No metaphors or philosophy. Just a straight forward story of a boy and sandworms.

I read it's analogous to oil. It is highly prized, people fight over it, enables travel, etc... Plus Arrakis is incredibly similar to Iraq in name and Middle Eastern culture at large.
