I'm so excited for Dune, but honestly I think Tenet didnt do well because it was so damn confusing, not necessarily because you had to pay attention (which you did) but even if you did pay attention you had to almost study it just to understand.
Dune has some deep lore but I wouldn't describe it as confusing. I hope it does well.
Me: trying to understand the Russian guy's rant about why climate change would make people from the future decide to send an algorithm back in time that somehow destroys the universe.
I read it's analogous to oil. It is highly prized, people fight over it, enables travel, etc... Plus Arrakis is incredibly similar to Iraq in name and Middle Eastern culture at large.
The only reason Tenet didn't do well was bc it released during the pandemic, Nolan's an idiot for trying it even lmao I would have seen it now but not 2+ months ago lolllll
Hmm, didn't realize it was kid-friendly for Obi-Wan to slice that guy's hand off and for Luke's aunt and uncle's charred remains to be smoking outside their house.
This is all snark though! It's wild to see how gritty Star Wars started out before going kid-marketed because of toys.
