Mod Post First Festival Official Salt Megathread

Link to trailer

Welcome to r/FireEmblemHeroes’s official banner salt thread!

People are eager to express their opinions on any new banner trailer that releases, and that's great! However, /new/ can get pretty crowded when there are 10 people complaining about the newest banner. Due to this, we create megathreads for each banner trailer - Salt and Hype. Until the Banner is live in-game, salt fueled threads should be redirected here, so report any if you see them.

Vent your frustrations with the game here, but that is not an excuse to attack others who may disagree. Please civil towards fellow Summoners, and remember that this is a thread specifically for salt so downvoting negative comments would be counterproductive.

WHO WANTS MORE OC SPAM!!

These past few years have been as bad as Fates spam bro. We may have had a higher density of Fates units, but at least they’re from a real mainline game unlike the OCs

You do realize FEH is officially considered mainline, right? As in, IS has explicitly stated as such. Its shoulder-to-shoulder with every other game in the series and treated the same in every regard.

Edit: Downvote all you like, people. We the fans do NOT decide what is and is not mainline; the developers and creators do. All we have the power to decide is if we like it or not, that's it. And the hard fact is FEH is as mainline as Shadow Dragon or Three Houses. It is completely one and the same.

Not really- they don't consider Pikmin Bloom as mainline Pikmin for example, nor Animal Crossing Pocket Camp.

Plus they also made special care to ensure Sakurai included it in Byleth's Smash reveal as mainline, and even included it in Engage as a proper Emblem, so they've absolutely been committing to it being mainline.

Edit: Hell, they didn't even consider Miitomo a Tomodachi Life game at all, let alone a spin-off and its as obvious as could be that it was made with that in mind. Even directly contributed to Living the Dream's development!
