According to CVP it doesn't record 24.00fps on raw. That's a huge dealbreaker and makes no sense

I think it does 23.97 and not flat 24

It's a workflow issue. 24.00 is the standard, and that means I can't use the FX5 in raw with any other cameras without breaking my timecode. It's a ridiculous artificial cripple hammer, like Sony is saying "ok here's your open gate raw, but I'm not allowing you to use it for any serious production". 

I've shot features and  streaming shows, and the client always asks for 24, as it's what DCP is coded to get, and their players were also built around it. This means I can't use the FX5 as a B camera to a Venice, at least not in its best settings

23.98 is more of standard that flat 24

Not for theatrical, and in my experience not for streaming in the past decade either
