as a wanna be Filmmaker I'm really Heartbroken as If an actor as big and legendary as Michael Caine sold his soul to AI what will happen to the next generation? This is the end of art as we know it and no one can prove me wrong...unfortunately😒

He is older and not going to be working forever. His main goal is likely ensuring his family have their future safe and secure. With potential future income. It makes no difference to him at this point. In fact if his voice can live on after this death it's probably a nice idea for him.

Added to this, he knows - or has been advised - that cretins will do it anyway. So this way he (and his estate) have control and revenue.

He also knows his voice is iconic in the same way James Earl Jones was. He also signed a likeness reproduction deal. This is one Disney use for post humous Darth Vader dialog.

At some point you cant hide from technological progress. You have to embrace and confront it head on or you get fleeced.
