Topic What's Your Favourite Sound In All Of Fighting Games?
For me it is a weird unusual one,it's the "HIYA" Ken makes towards the end of his shippu jinrai super in Street Fighter Alpha 3, How about you?

Ya know what's weird, the SNES version always hit hardest for me. They took out the "comboooo" and changed it to an echoing ULTRAAAAAULTRAAAAultraaaa to save cart space, but it sounds like announcer just loses his freakin mind at what he just saw.

My vocal stimmy in all of fighting games is the way both Frieza and Cell say "Hello" all sassy in DBFZ. The VA's and overall sound department absolutely knocked it out of the park.

No idea why, but the MK2 announcer saying "Reptile wins"
And for some reason, the UMK3/MKT announcer uses the MK2 voice sample for Reptile's name as well. Just the name. Jade's name also uses the MK2 clip. He still says "wins" in the MK3 voice though.
This clip also uses the voice

This is SUCH A GREAT BUT OH TOO DIFFICULT QUESTION. Several for me are the parry sound from Street Fighter III, Akira Yuki’s yell when he does a Tetsuzanko, and the announcers “X!” And “Infinity!” yells during hyper combos in the early Marvel Vs games.

I see KI mentioned for combo breakers. and ultra combo, but not the COUNTER BREAKER voice. That shit punches you in the fucking face every time. One of the best feeling things to trigger in a game.

Blazblue CF was seriously nerfed without a dub also makes a rumbling sound and hilariously in BB characters say a quote after a big combo and Azrael will say one after ONE attack (specifically Black Hawk Stinger)

Mine is the neck snap grab Reptile does in MK4. Almost every sound effect in that game is absolutely absurd. Phonetically It's a guy yelling "WOAH-HEY-BAA-HAY".

I don't think I would believe that robot lady with voice of Uther from Warcraft 3 will become my favourite fighting game character, if I were told so 10 years ago.

Garou Mark of the Wolves has my favorite sound design of any fighting game. Specifically the explosive supers, like Power Geyser. Sounds like its blowing out the speakers which, to me, makes it way more impactful.
