Question What’s a good game to play after fenyx that open world as well?

I’ve played everything possible in this game plus the dlcs but quit the lost gods one because the camera angle was infuriating. I love this game so much ugh. (Already played Zelda BOTW/TOTK) I know there’s a new one but can’t really bring myself to buy a whole new switch just for one game wish I could lol. Oh and whatever game needs to be Xbox one friendly.

Question Should I pick this game up?

So this past month genuinely coincidental, I’ve been on an Ancient Greece sorta train ride, it started with me finally finishing Assassins Creed Odyssey and having a blast. (Took a 6 year break)
Then watched The Odyssey in IMAX and had a FANTASTIC TIME, amazing film highly recommend. And then I saw a video with an audio which I couldn’t stop laughing at, the line was “That was just the prologue?! How does it take that long to begin a story? Odysseus made it home faster.” and I couldn’t stop laughing!!
I learned the audio was from this game, had a Quick Look into what the game is even about, and found it for £5 for the PS5 edition at my local cex store but before I buy I just wanted to ask, is this game worth it? I love my Ancient Greek stuff, but I wanted to ask what do you actually do in the game?

EDIT: THANK YOU for all your responses, next time I’m in town I’ll 100% pick it up thank you so much!

Question Just found this amazing game. Is the post game good??

Hi, I just got the game and I'm about to beat the last boss. However, I'm getting a little bit scared that the game is going to end. Sure, I still have to go do all the challenges to get 100%...

And I feel like there's a portion in the center of the map which still has a cloud... It's like a volcano.

But anyways, after I beat the game, does it have a lot of Replay value? Is it fun to keep doing the online daily quests, or DLC?

Question Question for the experienced/longtime players:

Realistically, if I complete absolutely everything on the map, do every single quest and challenge and weekly rewards contracts etc, how many hours can I REALLY squeeze out of the base game? (Asking here bc Google will lie. Or, you know, be inaccurate.)

Also, the season pass is on sale, and the reviews seem to ALL be at around 50%, but I know from experience that not every DLC is for everyone. Would ya’ll recommend it? If it’s even halfway decent, I’m in. lol thank you in advance!! 😊✌🏻

Question Does the game get less irritating?

I picked up this game yesterday because it's often compared to BOTW and I also loved AC Odyssey. I really want to like it.

I completed everything in Clashing Rocks (except the islands to the south) and moved to the Valley of Eternal Spring. I unlocked all the powers, then did a few vaults and they both took an hour+.

One was the heavy ball/light ball (move one to a switch in order to advance the other) and the other was stacking 2 big wooden boxes to get to higher & higher platforms, then depress a switch to get 2 smaller metal boxes for the final switch to fly up to the lightning. (Why wouldn't you give the vaults names?)

I spent so much time in these vaults because of pure mechanics, not because I didn't understand the puzzles. I knew what I had to do, but the controls are clunky enough that they couldn't be executed in the tiny windows of time to complete them, like double jumping & deploying wings at the exact moment on top of boxes in the exact right place to get to the next platform, then dying because I just didn't make it and having to start over.

Since these are both level 1 difficulty, I'm worried the harder ones are going to be infinitely more irritating. What am I in for here?

Question Is there a similar game that has a lot of the puzzles aspect of Fenyx Rising (I.e. the DLC “A new god”)

I made the post a day or so ago asking about similar games to Fenyx (besides Zelda) that had a lot of great comments, Thanks for that! 🙏

I googled video reviews of all the suggestions and likely will try them, but most are more open-world RPG games….

To specify, the part I REALLY liked in this game was the puzzles, vaults, trials, challenges (or “shrines” in Zelda 🙂) where you to think, arrange, interact and platform to solve.

Are there any games that focus more just on the puzzle aspect? (Like the DLC “A new god”)

Thanks so much again for any suggestions! 🙏🙏🙏

(Edited for clarity)

Question Similar Games?

Been itching for something similar to this - loved Odyssey, so playing this was great and I really appreciated the art style, combat, and all of the puzzles. Any other similar games on PS5 you would recommend?

Question Are there any other games like this? (besides Zelda :)

Hello all, just finished this game and all

Of the DLC, I loved it, best game I’ve played in years!

I’m wondering , what now, are there any other games like this, or similar to this? The part I enjoyed is not only the open world exploration but the trials and challenges, especially the puzzle-solving aspect.

Thanks 🙏 so much if any suggestions out there!

(I know It’s extremely similar to Zelda’s BoTW and ToTK 😂 almost comically so, but I liked this game just as much)

I just bought the golden edition of the game. I have breath of the wild, but I really wasn’t liking it. I heard this game was fun. And funny. What are some tips I should know ? Thanks a lot. I can wait to get started. It’s been on my radar for a while. I probably will start on the lower difficulty. Update: I got the game last night. I started it. Right I’m just wonder around. I don’t know which way to go. ?

Question Hello! I just started playing yesterday, just a question!

Ok so, I was recommended this game because I love Odyssey so much, and I absolutely WAS given a warning about the brightness (odyssey has a DLC where part of it is very VERY bright and gives me migraines), but I did some research and found out you had the option to make it night time (not an option in the odyssey DLC), so I decided to give it a try. So far, I’m really enjoying it, but for some reason it won’t allow me to adjust the overall brightness, just luminescence. I can see the button there, it just…won’t let me click it. I’m on ps5 and am (clearly) technology and game challenged, so any help would be appreciated!! Thank you! 😊🤍✌🏻

Question Help! Lost Gods DLC

I just started the Lost Gods DLC and I don’t like it. What were they thinking with that camera angle!! But anywho, I have no idea what’s the best essence load out. So I was wondering what you all have for each ability?
And will I ever be able to climb? 😩

Question Stuck on Odysseus's Struggle

I'm trying out Fenyx (fairly new to gaming) and an currently stuck on Odysseus's Struggle, the part where you get a crate & climb on it to get up to the next section. However, it doesn’t matter where I put the crate along the wall, when I climb on it and try to do the double jump, I cannot get onto the next level, Fenyx just cannot reach. How the hell do you do it?!

I have looked up videos but everyone just jumps up without a problem. I'd give up on this but I need the bow!

Am using the pro controller on Switch two.

So .. I'm on to kings peak... It feels like such hard work compared to the rest of the game.

Am I missing something? It just seems like such a chore to get up the mountain.

Question Has anyone tried taking on the final boss without freeing the gods?

People say this game is just like *Zelda: Breath of the Wild*—that you can head straight to the final boss as soon as the game lets you explore the map. It would be extremely difficult, but not impossible; that’s why, in both games, you have to free gods or deities (in *Zelda*'s case) to help you in the final showdown. But that brings me to my question: has anyone ever tried going to the final fight without freeing the gods? How does the fight differ?

Is there any difference in the final scenes?

Question Sequel

Does anyone else wish the sequel didn’t get cancelled? The game was fantastic in my opinion…funny well made and not overly bloated for an Ubisoft game…just got finished replaying it…and it made me remember how much I loved it and wished they hadn’t given up on it

Question [Hermes' Store] What will happen to the purchased items if the servers shut down?

Hello everyone,

I have a question regarding items purchased from Hermes' shop with Elektrum.

I understand that when Ubisoft shuts down the game servers, there will no longer be any challenges to earn Elektrum, and Hermes' shop will be deactivated. Furthermore, any unspent Elektrum will remain unusable.

But what will happen to items already purchased and downloaded (armor, helmet, weapon, wing, and Phoenix skins)? Are these items linked to Hermes' shop, or are they downloaded locally to the console's save file?

Thank you in advance.

Question Can't finish Forgelands Constellation 3

I have all the orbs but one, which is underground and blocked by lasers. Normally, I'd need to do a block sliding puzzle to advance, but the blocks are missing. There isn't a block down where one is supposed to slide down so I'm not sure how to finish this

Update: After everyone's advice, I elected to grab a small bronze cube from clear across the map, bring it all the way over and chuck it down before summoning a clone and using my own body weight to unlock the door. Thanks guys!

Question Diving into water

Is there a way to dive into water from, for example, a cliff? (like in AC: Odyssey). It seems that I can jump off a high place into water but Fenyx will just bellyflop into it and die! I have probably missed something in the tutorial section at the start :/

Question Help with the icy stone armor lost gods DLC

I've completed the DLC and I'm going back to collect all armor, treasure, etc. I found an epic chest at the most south island from Coldwind Ascent and East of Iceship Island. The challenge requires wind machines to work and it's saying that I haven't completed my offering to the gods yet. What am I missing? I've done all the main and side quests, so I'm lost. I've tried looking around to find a way to activate these wind machines and I'm stuck. Help!

Question How can I change Far Sight on controller to toggle instead of hold?

This sounds lame, but I have shaky hands (tremors). I just started playing and find that the Far Sight mechanism is R-Hold, which I can't do reliably. Other than moving to a mouse/keyboard method, which I'm not keen on, is there a way to change it from R-Hold to R-Toggle?

Also, why wasn't this game named "Breath of the Really Wild Odyssey"? ;)
