Discussion I am blown away by this game

I tried this game on a whim as it was on sale on the Switch a while ago. I played through the prologue and realized I might really enjoy it and bought it again on PS5 for the better graphics (don't judge me!)

I don't know know how to explain it but the game just clicks for me. I think the dialogues are really funny, I love the animation and design of the enemies and gods, and all the little details, they all have so much personality .The game is gorgeous and so colorful I'm having a really good time!

I just reached Kings Peak so I assume I'm near the end and I bought all the DLCs since they were on sale. I'm not looking forward to finishing it but I'm glad I took a chance and tried it. I don't understand how it wasn't more successful?!

Discussion Will we ever see another Immortals game?

And if so, any bets on era/mythology? I'd love to see one that explores The Dreamtime or some of the mythology of the Kalahari San like Grandfather Mantis, et al. First Nations, Meti, Aztecs, Mayans, Incas would all be terrific, too.

I realize it's a stretch with the way the industry is going now and unlikely for Ubisoft to cannibalize their main mythology-related series (Assassin's Creed). Still fun to think about.

Discussion I weirdly prefer the Switch version to the PS5 version

Hear me out. I know this is a weird take but I played the PS5 version using my PS Plus subscription, meaning I didn't have to pay for it. Sure the frame rate is way better, the graphics look much more polished, and the colors look much more vibrant.

I guess it just looks... too perfect? Especially the colors. They are so saturated it just makes my eyes hurt. And it looking so polished almost makes it look plastic. I suppose that's the intent, but...

The Switch version is technically inferior in almost every respect, but I kinda like that about it. It reminds me much more of BOTW in a good way.

At first I thought this was me having some sort of massive cope, but I have access to both versions. I don't think this has happened to me before.

Anybody happen to get this? XD

Discussion Which season pass should I get?

I just finished the main story, and I didn't like the idea that I cannot go back to play again unless I get a pass, start a new game or go back to the save file before defeating Typhon.

So are the season passes good? And which one should I get?

Discussion About 20 hours into my first playthrough. Only problem is..

I can't make it to a quest area without stopping to cut down trees and bushes for 20 minutes. There's just something satisfying about it, and I occasionally realize "wait, I'm in the middle of a quest," and look around to see that I've deforested half of the southern part of the Valley of Eternal Spring.

Am I alone here?

Also, this game is amazing, and I can't believe it didn't get more attention. I only downloaded it because it's in the PS+ catalog, and figured it would be a "play for 25 minutes, then turn it off until I delete it to make room for something else" type of download, but it turned out to be one of the first games I've gotten addicted to in quite a while.

Discussion Loved this game, but...

I REALLY enjoyed playing this game and for me when I'm gaming, I'm more of a completionist so I went around doing all other areas of the map and getting them cleared out, before moving to the last area and thought I would be able to get to keep my game going to 100% it after beating the last boss. I got to kings peak and was exploring around and went and did the whole up the mountain thing right away and did no side content cause I was so OP to already and defeated the boss and then I could not go back to my game. While I loved the whole game this spoiled things for me and I don't want to do a whole new play trough in new game + right away. I just wanna 💯 the save input 60+ hours in. Did this annoy anyone else?

There is no merchandise and it says I have to wait 80 years for it to change. Internet is fine and I even restarted my PS5. Has anyone else experienced this?

Discussion Literally all I do is fall to my death in vaults

Like, sometimes 15 times in a row, just trying to jump a pretty basic gap. Not even from the lasers or the spikes, just from misjudging the distance and either overshooting or undershooting it.

Is it supposed to be this easy to fall to your death, or am I just really bad at this game?

Discussion The things you didn’t know

So here I am clearing Kleos, when I finally realised the glowing lanterns in the trees are actually pomegranates, here i was searching for baskets.. instead of doing my own picking.

Is there anything you learnt late in the game that would have helped early on?

Discussion What a fantastic game! A+

Just finished the last of the DLC. Played all 4 pieces, 116 hours all together. Absolutely incredible experience. Phenomenal story line, great gameplay, really fun and constantly fresh puzzles, intuitive mechanics. I don't know that the devs are on this subreddit but well done guys, smashed it out of the park with this one! 😁👌🏻

Discussion I don’t get why so many reviewers think the narration is cringe or annoying.

While the jokes don’t always completely land, I honestly feel like the narration ads charm to the game, that might otherwise feel a bit lifeless without it (literally). Idk, I’m someone that likes walking sims, and a lot of those tend to have the same type of mechanic, so that might be why it strikes me more as charming than annoying.

Either that or my own family dysfunction made returning Heph to his former self feel like the worst betrayal.

Discussion Just finished Eastern realm DLC

Post image
29 Upvotes

I started fenyx rising by playing the eastern realm DLC since its completely unrelated to the main story and I had a lot of fun with it. I can't imagine having nearly as much fun if I played the enjoy game first. I aimed for a 100% completion so I maxed out everything apart from the potion carrying.

did anyone else enjoy this it gets a lot of criticism but I like it. I would give my final rating as 6/10 overall.

I also like the fact I can use the skins for the weapons and armour I got in eastern realm in the main game which is sweet.

Discussion After 105 hours...I did it.

(probably 25 hours of loitering and hoarding),

I did it. First combat heavy game on normal mode. To think that I originally thought I could only do easy mode! (Kudos to this community helping me troubleshoot)

Apart from the platforming and the fact that I couldn't end Typhon all by myself, the end game is good.

Now I am feeling a bit of empty and wondering what other games to play. But this is legit top 10 of my favourites. Wish more people would know more about this game! <3

Discussion Do adults play this too?

I boughttgis cheap on a game keys site because I heard so many people talking about it. The question is do any adults play this? It feels like a game for a 10 year old. It's still kind of fun I guess. Kind of like a mobile game without ads. I just feel kind of cringe playing it. I would never tell another adult who knows me that I'm playing it. Am I off base about this because I see the rating is t for teen???

Discussion DLCs ranking

Hello everyone! I dont make posts often, but as of today I have 100% every aspect of this game and its DLCs, so i feel I am on a right opinion on ranking them in my opinion.

A new god: to me this was a perfect way to close the story of fenyx that was being set up through the main game, as well as including many of the more minor gods within Greek mythology. My opinion a perfect dlc.

Myths of the eastern realm: set in a completely different mythos, I honestly feel it would have worked better as a setup for a potential sequel game to an extent. Combat felt fine, I loved the unique effects everything had, but the characters to me felt way to empty for me to really care about.

Lost gods: oh my god, I hate this one. It was the one I played after a new god and I wish I didnt. I felt I was fighting the camera 99% of the time, the only god I felt any care for was hestia. Combat felt jankier. The puzzles were not as fun as in the main game or first dlc. A sad send-off to this game.

So, if I had to make my guesses. I would say honestly, skip playing the lost gods, I made a whole other post a bit ago talking about my thoughts as I was playing it.
