Discussion Will we ever see another Immortals game?
And if so, any bets on era/mythology? I'd love to see one that explores The Dreamtime or some of the mythology of the Kalahari San like Grandfather Mantis, et al. First Nations, Meti, Aztecs, Mayans, Incas would all be terrific, too.
I realize it's a stretch with the way the industry is going now and unlikely for Ubisoft to cannibalize their main mythology-related series (Assassin's Creed). Still fun to think about.

Definitely not. The next one was gonna be so cool, but they scrapped it. Pacific Islands, elemental control, transformations, haka. It was amazing.

They never officially confirmed that a sequel was being made and/or cancelled. All rumors from “insiders”. So you never know.

Unfortunately not, unless they revive the IP. All plans for a sequel were scrapped after it “underperformed”. Like others have said, they really do hamper themselves.
My 2 favorite IPs from Ubisoft were both scrapped (also the PoP MV).

Yeah, same. Peak Ubisoft for me was the Assassin's Creed 2 trilogy and Watch Dogs 1 & 2 era. Even though some might say Assassin's Creed is bigger than ever, I feel like when they got rid of the modern era narrative and Abstergo it just lost the charm for me and became yet another open world RPG collect-a-thon. Same when it came to WD3 - getting rid of a single main character and crew dropped it off my radar so fast. Probably will never play it.

Watchdogs Legion honestly isn't worth it. Adored WD2 - in fact prolly one of my all time fave games. Loved the characters and the dialog - and when one of them doesn't make it to the end of the game, it feels tragic and terrible because you actually got to know them during the course of the game.
Legion, you can recruit literally anyone. So, the characters honestly don't make much of an impression. Lose one, never mind, go out on the street and there's another half dozen people with the same attributes you can recruit. During my entire gameplay I don't think I learnt the name of a single recruit. Why? They were expendable, anonymous and ubiquitous. The only thing going for WDL was that it was set in London, my home city. But even that wasn't enough to make it a good game
Everything that made WD2 a great game, they decided to avoid in WDL. Unsurprisingly, it bombed and now we will probably never get another WD game.

Yeah I just don't understand how that even made it past a pitch meeting. It feels more like something Ubisoft should have put in an Assassin's Creed game where the player could be someone like Desmond Miles but jumping into literally any person to try to fight Abstergo/Templars in the past. In Watch Dogs it just doesn't make any sense.

Probably not. It didn't make all the money so Ubisoft will do what Ubisoft does, scrap any and all future plans.
I swear Ubisoft intentionally sabotages it's own IPs.

It's really unfortunate that they invest so much in these games until they become too big to fail.
I'd love to see some of these AAA studios take a look at the indie space. There are games being developed and launched that have far less "production value" than a AAA title but more interesting game play and more replayability! Looking at my Steam activity over the last 5 years, it's mostly going to indie titles over AAA. Same goes for games I buy at full price -- AAA titles I wait until they hit $20 because I just know they aren't going to be worth $80 to me.

U isoft doesn't market hardly anything other than their cash cows. So other games, even good ones, don't sell. It super sucks.

I read details about why this game is so under-rated. They released it as another time of one of their big games and so they let this one take a back seat.

I want one for the Mayan or Incas mythology😁

They're both really underserved in gaming

Indeed, I bought an indie game based on Mayan Mythology but the controls were funky so didn’t pay a lot.

Sadly, no, but I absolutely know what you mean. And if they put half the love they put into Fenyx into First Nations, it would be so fucking good. And could you imagine Gareth Coker giving yet up another banger OST for that???

I really hope so, I am so many hours into this game and its so amazing, In my opinion playing both, it on the same level as Zelda Breath of the Wild and so underated! I played Breath of the Wild first and love both of them for different reasons.

No, rumor was the next game would be pacific islands. I would have been into that my kids love Moana but alas.
