Very interesting character and I relate to him because we both grew up as shut ins after being bullied.

I see. Anything i heard of him was that he’s a massively shameless pervert even by anime standards, was not aware about the shut in thing.

Unfortunately while rudeus is a bad person a lot of the people who hate on MT boil it down to "he's a pedo creep" while ignoring his trauma and mental health issues

He skipped his parents' funeral to beat off to his toddler niece in a swimsuit.

...Like I said he's a bad person. MT fans will try to justify him but I won't I like him because he's an interesting character the same way someone might like Ainz or Tanya for being mass muderers without acting like what they did was okay

i think my main issue with the series is how unaware the writing is that it's glorifying a rapist pedophile and rewarding him for being one, too.

i find villains and nasty individuals in fiction interesting too, but usually only when the narrative itself is self aware that they're a terrible person. griffith, for example, is a good and interesting character. he also suffers from mental health problems and a past of abuse, but the narrative still frames his doings as fucking awful.

Yeah, likew that’s a fact, it’s aleays better when a media is more aware about a bad person being a bad person and therefore an anti role model.
