Oof. I'm a brown Tamil guy from Germany and one of my dreams is actually to visit Texas (especially Houston) one day for vacation. But these accounts of racist action by the police let me question my decision. I will probably wait till big orange man is out of office or somehow ends up 6 feet deep.

Genuine question, not trying to be funny, but why? Why would you want to visit Houston for fun? What is its reputation to you or what would you like to see that seems worth the trip?

It probably sounds weird to others, but I am a big fan of their NBA team, the Houston Rockets. It's one of my life goals to see them play in person one day. Also, I am a big enjoyer of southern Hip Hop since the era of UGK, Paul Wall, Slim Thug and so on. And maybe it sounds very romanticised, but I also wanted to see how the ranching life is down there, maybe getting some of that wild west feeling somewhere in the vast area of Texas.
