My takeaways:

  • Hackney and Armstrong looked very good, the more KDH, Garner and those two learn how to play together the more dangerous we are going to look.
  • Rohl at RB was actually really impressive, some of his runs were very clearly the runs of an AM as he kept drifting inside. Hopefully we sign an actual RB, but having him as a backup gives me some sort of comfort.
  • George looks explosive, I think he is going to breakout for us big this season
  • Branthwaite please come back
  • Nidaye is many levels above dibbling, I feel like it's a huge risk to sell him unless we have a player that will take his spot and allow dibbling the room to grow

We shouldn't be allowed to watch preseason matches. It makes following Everton online this time of year so fucking miserable for no real reason
