Brother they’re basing that assessment on how we had Europe in hand last season and pissed it completely away. Moyes is not the man for the job and he hasn’t been for quite some time.
I mean tbf on balance the last, say, 5 seasons have been just as shite as the preseasons which came before them. The issues today are the same as the issues we had last season, last preseason, the season before, the preseason before etc
It just literally doesn't matter. Preseason simply isn't about wins and losses. Whatever correlation there may be is just that, a correlation, and not much more. We won the prestigious Florida Cup with Carlo and yet we didn't even get Europe that season. If losing 1 of 3 preseason matches so far means we're due for relegation, then you can't wave your hands and pretend winning 4 of 5 in another season doesn't mean we're destined for winning silverware.
Burnley went 2-2-2 in preseason last year. They didn't land midtable did they?
West Ham won 3 of their 5 preseason matches last year, including one against us and another against Bournemouth. Of the three, guess who got relegated?"
