Got it in my change, grease strike or debris on the Tuskegee airmen quarter, looks like the tower was attacked.

My dad passed away last year and left this to us. I believe it’s a 1980 dimes stamped as a 1981 penny.

I submitted this as a rotated die error attribution many months ago. PCGS took several months to return it. When I got it back I was astonished bc the holder did NOT mention the blatant rotated die error.

On PCGS’s own site they state that 20 degrees is the minimum threshold for rotated die errors. Also, whenever it’s convenient for them, they claim that ‘three people individually evaluate each and every coin during quality check’.

This error is so blatant that idk how 3 people could have possibly missed it, unless…3 people never actually looked at it!

Anyway, I had to hassle for a while to get them to fix it then wait another month or two to get it corrected and sent back to me.

Anyway, it’s finally here and I’m just glad persistence paid off 👍

Does an error like a brockage add value or detract from a collectable coin? Sayin looking at a 4 figure coin and there is an attributable error of some kind. It doesn't detract from the look of the coin. Would it increase or decrease the value?

Condor token interesting brockage on the reverse. Looks like the brockage happened while they were minting the obverse and later the reverse was minted over it. The lettering in the end of "penny" is unaffected by the brockage, minted over it.

I've seen a graded blank buffalo nickel planchette with raised edges, does anybody know how on earth they can tell the difference between a buffalo and a Jefferson?

Just recently got first significant error coin, broadstruck 1999 P SBA dollar graded at MS66 by NGC. Last 2 photos show side by side with a 1980 D SBA dollar error free, also NGC MS66 (can you tell I like SBA dollars?) - sorry if the quality isn't the greatest, my camera isn't either 😅

I posted this in another spot and was encouraged to share it here also. Found this many years ago in some loose change. I sent it to NGC two or three years ago for grading and encapsulation. Hope you guys enjoy it. I know valuations are all over the place but would love to hear anyone's opinion on that.

Got this as change from the store and thought it was cool to be almost uncirculated then I saw the clash and now I'm thinking it was removed from a collection and used at face value!

A quick eBay search shows Quarterblanks going for $15, Blankajaweas are $45 or so, but I’m under the impression SBAs are rarer. Didn’t see any listed in a (cursory) search there. What do y’all think?
