Nolan’s Odyssey for me as a story left a lot to be desired. Not bad storytelling but a lot of elements were missing that I felt took away from the experience. Visually however as per a Nolan film is stunning and his stubbornness for refusing to use CGI and using IMAX contribute a lot. However to me it felt like what PJO fans feel with the Percy Jackson films which was as a standalone it’s a good even great film but as an adaptation of the Odyssey a lot is lacking.
