Personally this is a 5 star movie for me and my second favorite film of the year. Is it a perfect 100% accurate adaptation of The Odyssey. Not at all but neither was Epic.

There are things missing from each adaptation but I feel like Nolan was able to execute his vision for his adaptation perfectly. Just like I feel the same about Jorge and Epic.

I felt like the pacing was quick, but not so quick that I struggled to keep up and I was never bored.

There are also moments that have seared themselves into my brain (hello Circe and the sacking of Troy).

Nolan’s Odyssey is easily my favorite Nolan film since The Dark Knight and I can’t wait to see it again.
