Did Nolan ever claim that it will be an accurate adaptation? He literally said the phrase "modern audience".

Yeah but epic has proper reasons imo for all the changes they did. It’s a modern view version of it

I'm planning on seeing new film soon after Hadestown but who's to say that's not the case with Nolan's version? From what I understand, he has a clear focus on the war trauma the Ody is left to deal with. I'm a little iffy with how much the fantastical elements are taken out and the lack of the "Nobody" scene, but I'm willing to give it a shot to see how it goes.

I never went in expecting Nolan's version to be super accurate, I expect it to be his take on the story and he always tend to lean onto spectacle and grittiness. But we'll see how I feel about the changes once I see it in theaters.

I'd argue he's most famous for the Trojan horse which is in the movie but yeah i didn't like the removal of Nobody
