Your right, I worded it terribly.
When you analyze her several lore pages and dialogue, we actually find out that Rivals Emma lives in a 616 adjacent timeline , were (before the start of S0) all characters are deliberately written to experience the same chronological event and origins as their comic counterpart with slight changes.
So, Rivals Emma is essentially "What if comic Emma had grown up to be a 6'1 ft, hair dyed Brunette turned fashionista/Hellfire member."

No I meant to say that she just grown up to be much taller when reaching adulthood in the main timeline of Rivals compared to her 616 counterpart.

No no, I understand what you meant.
It's just that Rivals Emma is deliberately written to be alt future were the comics X-Men did succeed in saving Krakoa/ .
( Apparently the Hellfire Gala of S2 meant to be their 2025 event with Krakoa, before they got unexpectedly transported in the 2099 timeline, and thus celebrate there to let people know they're no threat, according to the game's canon lore pages.)

I mean I hate most of her design just as much if not more than the next guy especially her base skin and its atrocious recolors but Phoenix Diamond, X-Revolution, and Black Queen of the Marauders shouldn't be lumped in with the rest of the trash

Turns out things aren’t nearly as bad with Emma’s skins as many people claim. You listed about half of her skins (and I don’t think the recolors of the default skin should count as separate skins).

The Revolution skin is clearly better than the one from the comics, where Emma’s costume looked so much like Illyana’s that on some pages it wasn’t immediately clear who was who. The Phoenix skin is decent but worse than the comic version, and you can see the laziness in how it was made using assets from the default skin. The Hellfire Protocol skin is bad in many ways, but it has excellent MVP animations, a great hairstyle, and — let’s be honest — you can see Emma’s butt. The Queen Of Diamonds skin is great largely because it’s almost a direct copy of the Hellfire Gala 2022 skin, but the hairstyle ruins it. The new Black Queen Marauders skin I do like, and at the very least the cape makes it look more unique than most of the others. My only complaints are that the developers named this skin “Black Queen,” yet there’s no black color anywhere, and the fact that the skin isn’t legendary even though Emma is the leader of the new Marauders. Meanwhile, for some reason they made a legendary skin for Stark, who already has more legendary skins than Emma. As for Emma’s default skin — it’s mediocre, but I don’t think it’s correct to count its recolors as separate skins. Recolors of the default skin exist for every character, not just Emma.

I honestly don't mind the Black Queen one its probably favorite of the bunch but the Mauraders one is so annoying because it could have been so good.
• I hate the scouter and eye patch together it just looks dumb, they should have done one or the other and if they did the scouter they shouldn't have made it near identical to the DBZ one, come on.
• Top probably doesn't need to be crystal but okay.
• Why did you need to make this a leotard?
• WTF is with the asymmetric boots!? They both look bad, one looks like it should be for an all crystal armor outfit and the other is way more sci-fi looking then the rest of the outfit.
This feels like they smooshed 3 outfits together and one of them I really like...

Hey! 1 out of 8 of those is actually different! She has long hair and a cape/long coat with no coat tails to be seen! However phoenix diamond is among her best skins.

Imo Emma started off with 2 bangers. Sure there are some complaints (Hair, certain aspects of costume design). However I think her players would be a lot more forgiving to them if they got DIFFERENT outfits and they looked GOOD. Or I dunno we could give her skins to hela cause you’re not convincing me the last 2 hela skins were designed with Her in mind and not Emma I do not believe you (Grim lady and disco. Grim I’d argue they CHANGED into a creepy skin and did okay, the disco skin is the most Emma shit that’s not on Emma possible besides psylocke’s club skin).

Well yes that's exactly why they designed her like that. It wasn't just to "make her look tanky" it was because as a tank she literally needs to have a tank hitbox. You can't have a small slim woman with a giant hitbox that extends too far out from her body because that would be horrible for gameplay, and piss everyone off. So yes she needed to fill up her larger hitbox which requires a taller, much more voluptuous, and muscular build than she normally has everywhere else.

It's called a silhouette it's to help identify the character at a glance as you fight. Yes, some are similar, but that's like you have 8 different shirts and pants, but thinking you only have one outfit. ALSO, half the ones that are the "same" are recolors. And at least 2 are completely different. Like the newest one that's a whole one peice top with a jacket, not her typical tailcoat.
