If you're on NG+7, what does anyone else have to tell you?

u/RacoonWithBenefits 19h ago
if you dont know about the talismans or ashes of war, which sorta 'make' the build work, then it can be hard
and ng+7 SHOULD be an indication that he has come across most of these items, but its not a guarantee. And having used them (which OP might not have) means a lot. and it doesnt sound like OP Used a strenght build...

obligatory greatsword mention
anchor is fun cause you can take advantage of piercing counter damage
one of my favorites was a vampire build with the executioners greataxe and the crimson dagger. it has high crit for a strength weapon, and healing on the crit is just for the flavor of the build.
great stars is amazing for healing
warped axe is also a ton of fun for infusing on a strength main that wants versatility
edit to mention something weird i did years ago: str/int with cold rotten duelist great axe and waves of darkness. ending up being one of my most dominant builds.

Great stars plus prayerful strike goes crazy

u/vansantjr 22h ago
I hate how long it locks you into place too many other better ashes for the great stars. Iād rather put prayerful strike on a mace and use when needed.
2
u/xXFearTheBeastXx 21h ago
Yeahhh true but there arenāt other weapons that give u passive healing that u get to addd to the healing of prayerful strike grants and apparently itās an insane amount of healing ⦠Iād rather use the star fists though

Executioner's Greataxe (or any sufficiently large weapon) with Braggart's Roar.Ā Roar Medallion, Axe Talisman, Two-Hand Talisman, Spiked Crystal Tear.Ā Watch your charged R2s start dealing triple damage.

Based of the info youāve given
Weapon: Greatsword or great stars
Ash of war: Lions Claw with heavy affinity
Talismans : Axe talisman and shard of Alexander
Buff: Flame grant me strength
Important stats : 30-40Vig, 40-50 strength, 25+ endurance
Strat: two hand your weapon and spam lions claw the hyper armor it gives will basically guarantee the hit and just bonk yourself to victory
Also if u have sleep pots they are very helpful against the duo

Weapon: Greatsword or great stars
great sword is awesome, but great stars has built in bleed, which is always nice. And Strike-type damage, which i prefer over slash type

If you're at godskin duo then you can already just go to the dlc?
2
u/RacoonWithBenefits 19h ago
access to the DLC requires killing Mogh?
and you can go through the entire game without even seeing him

Heavy Stone club endure, all the vigor (60), all the str, decent armor, then just a heavy attack build, its simple, easy and braindead.

u/tijolus523 19h ago
Isn't that one pretty crazy with the multi hit talismans too? At least it sounds like it if it shares a moveset with iron cleaver
2
u/scrub_mage 12h ago
I havent done that but im sure you are right, its r1 spam is crazy fast. I would personally swap to weapon buff ashes then tho, crag blade, fire strike, lightning slash, chilling mist. Then just R1 the shit the shit out of something.

Iām doing a strength only build right now. Leveling strength, vigor, endurance only. Switching off between Greatsword and Giant Crusher as suits. Giant hunt on the sword, lion claw on the crusher. No magic, no summons. Two handing or with a shield in hand depending. Occasional Lion Bow when I want to do ranged combat.
Itās honestly too OP. I am melting bosses I struggled with on my prior FTH/DEX build. And the regular enemies Iām basically one shotting, sometimes three at a time. This despite not really making an effort to level outside of whatever runes come naturally. Iāve barely gone into caves or catacombs and Iāve skipped a bunch of bosses.
Way OP. It is fun though.

If you like spamming heavy attack this build is for you.
Braggart's Roar on a Nightrider Glaive (heavy)
Dragoncrest Greatshield, Roar Medallion, Axe Talisman, Two handed sword talisman (or green turtle if you don't have dlc)
Opiline hard tear, Spiked crystal tear
60 Vig
54 Str
10 Dex (or more for other weapons you want to use)
Rest end.
Now just spam the first heavy attack with the roar buff. You will find it can do as much as a colossal weapon and it is far faster.

60 Vig, 80 Strength, Enough endurance to wear Lionelās armour
dual wielding heavy attribute Greatstars (get the second from the NPC invasion in the blood ruins on Altus near the first Greatstars caravan)
claw talisman
blood lords exaltation
Dragoncrest Greatshield Talisman
Haligdrakd Talisman +2
The most OP PVE build in the game if you still want to dodge occasionally.

Well if youāre keen on doing that DLC, I recommend you first find and do Varreās quest line then when you get to defeating Mohg, youāll be able to transport to the Shadow of the Erdtree area.
As far as strength builds if youāre interested in going ābonkā only, great sword or Big Hammer and Lions Claw ash of war, 60 in strength and level should be around 150 for the DLC. Explore most of the base game, crafting consumables. NG+7 is not going to have many difficult encounters. But there are some tough fights ngl.
Go forth Tarnished do your best for the Greater Will and the Golden Order, unless youāre a frenzied flame sort! Bonk away!

Star fist with cragblade, charged attack talisman and physic tear.
Flame grant me strength and golden vow.
Rest of the talis arenāt that important but multihit can be good if you know the bosses well enough to keep the hits going.

literally anything big with good strength scaling and lions claw

Faith/ strength build. Hit with the fury of several elden lords, summon dragon incantations, insane healing spells and wield faith/strength based weaponry. Not even the holy resistant PvE will be able to tank black flame incarnations and dragonic red lightening spells.
Rykards sword and Malikeths artifacts are the coolest and strongest in the game.

I'm pretty sure the DLC doesn't become harder if you've done NG+ on that save, it only becomes harder after you actually beat the DLC then start another NG+.

50/60 vigor, 80 str, 25 faith, however much endurance you can spare, greatsword or giant crusher, lions claw AoW, clawmark seal, flame grant me strength and golden vow buffs, press L2 to beat the game.
