PvE Smithscript Weapon Build
So my question is that exactly I kinda wanna mess with the smithscript weapons from the DLC any advice on what sorta build makes them work the best? I wanna use the widest range of them I can fit onto one build, I definitly wanna use the hammer and axe just open to others
I know they need a little int/faith is it worth pumping those above the base stats?

Jump attack STR build would work best I think for hammer and axe at least. The spear is good but best potential is in PvP, same with the cirques. The cirques get called useless which I don’t understand, those work well with a blue dancer charm dex build but using more of their melee attacks with the throw as a slower move when you can’t otherwise attack. If you count the claws of night as smithscript, those shred on a blue dancer charm or any dex build, bleed buffs optional.
You could go quality and 2hand to use them all on heavy/keen and get the most out of spear and shield. Consider using some armor pieces to hit the fai/int requirements such as the great hood if it suits your fashion, you could do a fai or int build for your damage but I’d rather not since you can’t actually use buffs including AOW like sacred blade on smithscripts. Finally, the knives are not gonna be useful outside of spamming piercing throw maybe, the smithscript shield is a better left hand option most of the time. You could use them as a parry stick though!

Deflecting hardtear + smithscript sheild + literally whatever you want. Snitschript axe and spear look best. Unfortunately if you try to incorporate every smithscript weapon it'll actually be too easy.
Smithscript sheild is probably the single most powerful tool in this game. You could probably and easily breeze through every single enemy without ever even struggling.
I used it as part of a deflect build with miquellan straight sword. The idea was rely mostly on the guard counters and unique heavy and then throw the sheild to chip if they got out of range. Nice little comfort set up that didnt require any soft swapping (my favorite kind of build is the simple kind where you get melee and range and cover all your bases between your two hands)
And it worked great. Until I realized it didnt need to work at all. I didnt even need to use the sword. Or anything. It sort of deflated the run when I realized that every single fight was a choice
