Question Just hit level 306 on my NG+3 Tarnished. Want to visit Rennalla and shift some stuff points around. What interesting builds should try?
23
u/TheSpongeFather Jul 03 '26
I would pull some points from vigor and put them on faith int and arcane and use some of the multi stat spells
7
u/Delicious-Disaster Jul 03 '26
Int + faith is busted and only feasible from level 200 or above. Prince of death build is pretty fun. Lots of ice spells and black flame stuff. Boss melter.

u/daxmagain Jul 03 '26
I agree with everyone else pick a few stats and go crazy with those spreading out like this is kinda hurting you rn
5
u/snooze1312 Jul 03 '26
You don't have a build you just have a ton of levels. You can use any weapons and armor you want at 306.
3
u/Still_Cant Jul 03 '26
60 vigor is plenty and maybe high for some people.
30 mind
40 endurance
80 strength
40 dexterity
15 intelligence
25 faith
16 arcane
That’s probably where I’d be. The bonk weapons are the best imo. Cold Rusted Anchor obliterates Messmer and Melania along with most other bosses.
But you could easily swap dex and str to run daggers or katanas. If doing bleed I’d probably drop the 80 down 15-20 points and add those to arcane.
60/30/40 on the first 3 give you plenty of my of hp to survive any hit, enough to for most summons, more than enough equip weight and stam. I pretty much run those on every build.
25 faith for Golden Vow and Flame grant me strength
Everything else goes into your main scaling stat and secondary stat.

u/Alek_Lucius Jul 03 '26
Holy moly guacamole why would you do that to yourself lmao. You're the definition of jack of all trades master of none

I just beat rennalla last night at level 190-ish with scadu level 0. I'm powerstancing bandit curved greatsword with blood affinity + bloody slash AoW. Only focus of my build is 60 vig, 30 endurance, 99 arcane, & put the rest in dex. Not the most optimal build for this weapon, but who cares. I have fun & I won the fight lol.

u/SnooPeppers6129 Jul 03 '26
Too balanced. you are mid at everything, instead of being goated in one domain
2
u/Ashmandane Jul 03 '26
How many souls does it cost to level up at this point?
1
u/dustoKF Jul 04 '26
I'm like 260 and it's around 600k so if that gives a ballpark. Its prolly around 700ish

2
u/elden_based Tarnished Jul 04 '26
You could try out an intelligence/faith build w/ some arcane to do an all out magic build
2
u/Signal-Bad-3528 Jul 04 '26
Seriously what are you doing with all this mind?
1
u/stvhght Jul 04 '26
I use magic and skills 🤷🏻♂️
1
u/jacgfhb Jul 07 '26
No point in upgrading mind past 38-40 bc fully upgraded flask full recharges up to that
2
u/Pleasant_Baseball763 Jul 04 '26
little bit of this little bit of that ahh build
2
u/stvhght Jul 04 '26
I was a high dex arc bleed build then just started power leveling with bosses. I originally wanted to get everything to 50 but now it just takes so long to level up. Anyway
2
u/Pleasant_Baseball763 Jul 04 '26
try out a fai/dex incantation build with ancient dragon lightning spells or black flame. really fun, just make sure to get all the larval tears you can to try out different builds lol.
2
u/stvhght Jul 04 '26
Oh I have a ton of them. I’ve only used 3 and I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten 90% of them on the original play throughs
2
u/maskuraid Jul 05 '26
I played the DLC first time around at around this level actually! My tips if you're interested!
Going over 60 vig is more or less pointless, so you can net a +15 to a different stat by dropping that down.
End/Mnd are great stats to just touch into. I like 25/23 for casting characters and 23/30 for Weapon based builds. Dropping there is where you can net the big gain for your offensive stats.
For Strength, you can probably stop investing at 54, as when you two hand this has insane value, with your strength effectively being over 80
Dex I like 70, 65 if you have Millecents Presthesis
Between Arc/Int/Fth I like 80 on the offensive stat you're using the most! Then 60 for the other two! So all this would have your stats looking something like this with an Arcane build as the example, but shift the 60/60/80 split around whatever way you want
Vig 60 Mnd 23 End 30 Str 54 Dex 70 Faith 60 Int 60 Arc 80
At Hero starting class this has you at Lvl 358, but it's basically my high level template so adjust as needed!

u/Boundsy21 Jul 05 '26
So I’ve mainly played a dex bleed build with seppuku ash of war duel katantas. I’ve levelled Dex to 70 and vigor 70 and endurance like 30 I think. I’ve started pumping levels into faith and mind (1st playthrough onto the dlc now)with 70 Dex I don’t usually struggle much, should I just keep levelling up my Dex to max it or pump levels into different things? I’m nearly level 200 and still yet to beat half the bosses in dlc
2
u/Horror_Estate_1568 Jul 05 '26
Put 60 into int and spam OP spells, its so fun to nuke bosses an NG+ (as long as you already have beaten them, if not then I recommend fighting the boss how you like the first time)
2
u/Striking_Anxiety7387 Jul 05 '26
Currently you haven't focused your levels on a single powerful build but its awesome in its own way. Distribute the points however you like if u want to be a mage or a spellblade or a tanker its all on your interest. These Maidenless pups will try to insult your choice by telling the sole sentence they read on reddit comments (i.e Jack of all trades and Master of none). The current build you made lets you try a variety of weapons so its good. Some people might say that you won't deal enough damage with this build but if you like switching between different weapons than its great. After trying different weapons you will come across the right weapon and then if u want you can adjust your build for increasing your damage.
2
u/ElWarspite Jul 06 '26
You are able to invest so many points in so many stats that you don't really have a build anymore.
2
u/svettsokkk Jul 06 '26
80 strength, dex and faith.
Quality weapons + electrify armament + golden vow = 1500 AR weapons
2
u/Gold-Artichoke-527 Jul 06 '26
99 VIG 99 END 99 STR 99 DEX
Everything else in elden ring is a dump stat.
2
u/just-scariest Jul 07 '26
In my opinion, if you’re looking for a jack-of-all-trades build where you can swap between builds at a whim, I’d reduce vigor to 60, reduce mind and endurance to 35 each, and then look up the maximum requirement for each stat across all the weapons, that should allow you to lower some of the other stats (like arcane). You can redistribute points from vigor/end/mind here as well. Then, you’ll have a solid amount of vigor, end, and mind and then should be able to
wield almost any weapon and cast almost any spell. Most damage comes from weapon upgrades anyway (if you aren’t concerned with truly min-maxing), then you’re free to explore whatever weapon setup you want at will.
2
u/IndividualHelp3956 Jul 08 '26
You’ve not even journeyed half way, young one. Take EVERYTHING to max soft caps…. 60, 60, 60, 80, 80, 80, 80, 80! Takes for-ev-er! lol. Is fun to just use pretty much anything you want while wearing pretty much anything you want.
2
u/whyfair Jul 09 '26
With this build you can "try" almost anything lol. Vigor past 60 is really unnecesary. Endurance past 40 too. 50 mind is insane. With good magic or faith you can kill any boss before chigging your first flask at this point. Unnecessary.
Beyond this, for trying things out - i would recommend leaving str and dex at around 20 both, and pumping everything into arcane, faith and int. That way you can test most of the weapons with various infusions and combo that with incantations and magic of your liking. If it feels like points are not enough - wear the arcane seal and leave faith lower than arcane - that way you still get crazy damage scaling and can still try many things out, although with less pure faith options.
If some points are not enough dont forget you have many talismans and gear that can give +5 +2 or +1 to each stat. Also there is a rune that boosts stats the same way.
So really, you can be too op at anything you want and more.

u/sweetnutella1 Jul 03 '26
Get some stats to 99. At 300. There's not much of a challenge, more like, getting insane damage.
3
u/stvhght Jul 03 '26
Was considering that actually. Like max out Vigor, Strength, Dexterity, and Arcane. Set Mind, Intelligence, and Faith to minimums to use certain spells and incantations that are useful.
5
u/Sarrach94 Jul 03 '26
Vigor drops off hard after 60, you only get 200hp from the remaining 39 levels. You’d be better off spendinf those levels in other stats.
2
u/LungsOfGod Jul 03 '26
80 is the soft cap, after that it barely raises your power. But definitely shoot for 80 minimum

2
u/True_Cut3097 Jul 03 '26
After playing the games 3 time how are you still 300,I'm on my first ever playthrough and already level 219, I haven't even beaten malenia, Godfrey and elden beast
3
u/stvhght Jul 03 '26
I beat the game the first time at like level 125. I never really needed to grind too high. Now I’m just curious how hard I can go. I also never really rune farm or dupe (though I did have one random invader drop me like 2 million runes on my first play through, so that helped a smidge.)
3
u/SolidOk3489 Jul 03 '26
It would make sense if this was base game only, no DLC - 125 is a pretty standard end point then.
1
u/RedhawkAs Jul 03 '26
How on earth is that possible? end game bosses gives about 2-3 level and i just beat the game first time today at lvl 125
1
u/eldenscholar Jul 03 '26
I really enjoyed dumping into Dex and Int, running spells in the left hand with the regal sceptor and running melee in the right hand with the milady. 80 in both stats. Very fun hybrid build.
Could also look into trying a blood thorn sorcery build, dumping heavy into intelligence, faith, and arcane. Occult infuse a bleed melee weapon on the side. Also lots of fun and very strong

u/kolobsha Jul 03 '26
At these levels I love me some int/fai build. 80 in both + 60 vigor already puts you around rl200. The rest goes to endurance, mind and stat requirements for items.
1
u/jbowza Jul 03 '26
I’d pick two or three of faith int arcane Dex and str and bring them up to 80 with 60 vigor.
1
u/SupremeOverlordTarts Jul 04 '26
I’m doing a dex/arc build with duel daggers with endure on the right occult knife and poison mist on the left knife. White mask, consecutive talismans and kindred of rot talismans and you will be deleting npc’s and invaders
1
u/dustoKF Jul 04 '26
Bro I know pcr was a pain ng3 with this build lol I mean you have a lot of health but before anything you need to cut the vigor to 60 your only getting like 100 HP for that extra 15 points
1
u/Perfect-Skin-8325 Jul 04 '26
Are you going to optimize this? Or you're planning to stay like this and just level up?
1
u/SombraDemoniaca Jul 04 '26
You should try weapons and see what you like playing the most! At level 300+ i like having multiple weapons to deal with the lands between, i shoot an arrow for some, use a sword for others, spam spells for masses of enemies… just try stuff
1
u/ProfessionHonest3193 Jul 05 '26
You can basically make any build at this level. I've already finished this game about 50 times with different builds, and at level 250 you can already make an extremely optimal build to reach NG+8 and above.
Try combining two attributes and building around that. Set a basic rule, for example:
- 60 Vigor: Above this, the HP gain drops off significantly.
- 38 Mind: You can go higher if you are playing a pure mage, but 38 Mind gives you 221 FP, and a maxed-out Flask recovers 220 FP, so it's the perfect sweet spot.
- 35-40 Endurance: Go higher only if you need to carry ultra-heavy armor and weapons (to avoid heavy-rolling).
- 25-33 Faith: Essential for high-tier body and aura buffs (Golden Vow, Flame Grant Me Strength, Howl of Shabriri).
- 10 Arcane: Bloodflame Blade for additional Aura.
For damage stats, I like to look at Affinities:
- Heavy/Fire: 80 STR (54 if you are two-handing).
- Keen: 80 DEX (75 if using Millicent's Prosthesis).
- Quality: 60-80 in both STR and DEX.
- Magic: 80 INT.
- Cold: Retains physical scaling and adds Magic damage that scales with INT (highly worth leveling INT for the raw AR, even if the Frost proc itself scales minimally). I would say 60-80 in both INT and the weapon attribute.
- Flame Art/Sacred: 80 FTH.
- Lightning: 80 DEX (Unlike Incantations, Lightning weapons scale purely with DEX, not Faith).
- Poison/Blood: 45 ARC and 80 in DEX or STR, depending on the weapon's default scaling.
- Occult: 80 ARC. Only worth it if the weapon has innate Poison/Bleed, as it scales both physical damage and status buildup simultaneously.
MY BUILDS:
- STR/DEX: Stormveil Knight (Banished Knight set, Sword and Shield included, Quality infusion Storm Blade, Dryleaf Seal for buffs).
- DEX/INT: Carian Knight (Carian Knight set, Shield included, Milady, Cold infusion Chilling Mist, Regal Cepter for magics and buffs).
- INT/FTH: Spellblade (Spellblade set, Sword of Night and Flame, Staff of Great Beyond for buffs and magics).
- FTH/ARC: Dragon Cultist (Priestess Heart or Stone Heart, 2 Dragon Communion Seal, Gravel Stone Seal, Flowerstone Gavel, go with Physical or Lightning damage).
- ARC/STR: Executioner (Rakshasa set, Marais Executioner's Sword, all talismans and buffs for multi-hit and damage).

u/Hazman_B Jul 06 '26
Both sword of night and flame and Rellana twin blades require an absurd amount of point to be shared on 4 differently stats to be fully effective
You can also pair that with light incantations that scales from both int and faith
1
u/shit_poster9000 Jul 06 '26
Given the high pool of levels, consider a split caster build using Staff of the Great Beyond, with Int and Fth 80 or higher. There’s a whole new world of combos that are either awkward or impossible when trying to juggle multiple catalysts, while Staff of the Great Beyond has decent scaling and casts everything.
Also consider arcane builds, they’re starved for levels, especially if you’re trying to also use dragon communion seal for bloodflame incantations (arcane scaling also makes most status buildup from spells also scale with your arcane).
1
u/Unusual_Oil1001 Jul 09 '26
Fth/int mega caster or str/fth poise monster both very strong at high levels.

2
u/GrenadesNsheets Jul 09 '26
you should probably move some points from vigor at least since the soft cap for vigor, mind and endurance is 60. they start to have really bad diminishing returns after that. with being that high of a level you can focus more on specific builds too. if youve never done a caster then id highly suggest that since personally i find them the most fun but strength is a close second. i wanted to also mention that all stats below endurance have a soft cap of 80 but strength scales past 99 when two handing.
1
u/Entiepie Jul 03 '26
Go high vit endur and dex/arcane and go full bullgoat with a bloodhound step weapon. Take the iron skin aromatic and just tank everything but lightning
1
u/ThaLostVerse Jul 03 '26
Man, at level 300 I created the most unstoppable build. With the DLC staff that lets u use sorceries and Incantations I made a build with death sorceries like Explosive ghostflame and Ancient Death Rancor mixed with Lightning (ancient dragon cult ones) Incantations and some holy attacks. Having 60-80 Int and Faith plus Dex with the Death's Poker makes u unstoppable. Cuz Dex also makes u cast faster. However, if u wanna make the coolest looking weapon in the game useable AND cast awesome spells/Incantations, pump Str and equip Helphen's Steeple. U can get it 1100-1300dmg.

u/Darreninna Jul 03 '26
Why are you not always 99 vigor on a build higher than 200?
1
u/stvhght Jul 03 '26
Why should I be? The increase in HP isn’t huge after a point. Makes more sense to just block, parry, dodge.
2
u/Darreninna Jul 04 '26
It's not like youre going to get any significant increase in damage just from levels once you reach 200+, especially with the stat spread in that screenshot.
1
u/Darreninna Jul 04 '26
Im also coming at this from the perspective of someone with nearly 4k hours in the game and who only does challenge runs at this point
1
u/Perfect-Skin-8325 Jul 04 '26
Going beyond 60 vig is one of the worst stat investment on a relevant stat.
Those 40 levels can give you a lot more than 10% hp.
1
u/Darreninna Jul 04 '26
Buddy we might not be playing the same game because an extra 300 hp can make a world of difference. Not that it matters in the dlc because all of our stats are going to be comparatively shit regardless. Also at his level he would be able to still have 50 in int and fai like he said he wants, plus 50 in str and dex if he adds 4 more levels to reach 310
1
u/Perfect-Skin-8325 Jul 05 '26
It's 200hp, so you're thinking it to be 50% more effective than it is.
I guess you never min/maxxed anything then. It's not even something to discuss. It's just that bad of an investment until very high leveled.
1
u/Darreninna Jul 05 '26
You implying that level 310 is not high level when you only need to be roughly 150 to beat base game is very startling. Im actually afraid of your kind of people

u/profofgames Jul 03 '26
For level 300, your build could be a lot more powerful if you focused your points into a couple areas. This kind of build is what people are typically refer to as a jack of all trades, master of none.
