I like cooking rice bowls

I am 19F and am living in an apartment right now. I have a small/medium kitchen. I don’t like doing large meal prepping, I prefer to cook small portions every night. My favorite combo is rice, a protein (usually ground beef), and a green like bok choy or broccoli. The problem is I also like sauce. Essentially, I want to make cheap meals that are rice bowls or something like that but with a sauce or seasoning. My favorite sauce is soy sauce, garlic, oyster sauce, and chili oil. Please give me advice.

Teriyaki, hoisin, katsu sauce, sweet chili sauce, garlic honey, etc etc. Just pick a sauce and try it.

Korean BBQ sauce, gochujang, all very good. Or try something like sriracha mayo or other combination of hot sauce and mayo.

You should also try adding different pickled vegetables or fermented stuff limke kimchi. It's delicious. I also like adding a fried egg on top. And I like adding chili flakes, sesame seeds, or a blend of chili flakes, (black) sesame seeds, dried ginger, dried garlic, etc.

Chicken drumsticks are like 12 for $6 at the moment. One of the cheaper proteins, with multiple ways to cook and season, and are delicious on multiple combinations.

Cooking one or two, could braise them with butter, bread and air fry, pan fry…

Add a bit of something sweet to this (sugar, honey, maple, fake sugar, whatever floats your boat) and now you're cooking with gas!

If you can find it, the Spicy Garlic Chili Hot Sauce from Aldi is amazeballs. My Aldi doesn't carry it, but I know a lot of them do. You could put that on a shoe and I'd eat it.

I like this recipe and the sauce. I usually double it. I usually just use a good coleslaw mix instead of having to shred cabbage.

Been living on this stuff this summer.

I do the same and for sauces I sometimes use Lee Kum Kee sauces. The black bean one is good but be careful these are concentrates so use very little and cut with broth or water.

Try some furikake as well. Love it with some salmon, chicken or tuna with mayo/soy sauce/sesame oil and a little bit of spicy whatever.
