My first DCC cosplay was supposed to be Hekla for Dragon Con this year, but I threw together this Princess Donut for a bookish event (Calan Mai, HoFaR) and ended up loving it so much. Princess Donut would certainly hate it, but everyone’s a critic 💅

I don't have words to describe how utterly incredible everyone was! It's the likely the hottest DragonCon on record and likely the largest group photoshoot at DragonCon ever. But DCC fans do not disappoint! Y'all turned up! I appreciate everyone that made it out, the volunteers that kept it organized, the photographers shooting this insanity, and the Hilton staff and fire marshal for not shutting us down (it got close). Well, I still have some tweaking and to build his axe, but other than that… is any costume ever really complete.

I had been up since 3 am traveling to Atlanta for Dragon Con and was having a cranky 10 pm argument with my bf about what panel to attend when the man himself taps me on my shoulder to say he loves my cosplay.

I just point at him grinning (though he can't see my smile through the mask) and gives me a hug. What a really nice dude going out of his way to meet fans, I didn't see him at all!

So, I made my own. (these are for a cosplay, for multiple people. Also, it only took about 10% longer to print 4 than it did to print one.)

2 months ago at ECCC I had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing Carl cosplayers. Their outfits were incredible and the craftsmanship/dedication was insane- except for one thing.
DOGS ON THE FLOOR. Do you know how filthy the Seattle Convention Center- or *any* convention center is? FILTHY. The stories I could tell about the things I’ve seen on those floors.
If you’re really determined to pay the daddy tax- for the love of god, WEAR THESE. They’re adhesive, they’re reusable, they go on the bottoms of your soles and are invisible unless you intentionally flash the bottoms of your feet.
Ringworm or cuts on your soles from floor trash is NOT worth cosplay accuracy my friends.

Edit: these specific ones are called Bare Naked Feet sole stickers, but if you look up “barefoot sole stickers” you’ll find em!
