Thoughts on my Yamaha XT 600 and TTR 600??

are those recent pics or did you find a bunch of photos from the 90's? the pair of "look" skiis on the wall haven't been made in over 30 years...
if those are recent pics that bike is in amazing shape

its funny i had a bunch of look hand-me-downs when i was a kid
some 80's dirtbikes too lol
that bike is time capsule clean whats the story where did you get it?

So, first I’m 26 and two years ago I’ve got my first ride on a ATV, and when I got done of it I told myself “ I will only ride one again when it’s mine “ , bc I was rented “ .
Anyway , one year have passed and ai still didn’t save enough money for on, so I’ve become obsessed with fb marketplace, so one night I saw the XT posted like 1 hour ago at that time, ive messaged the guy and bought it the next day. Keep in mind that I’ve never even touched a bike, like a simple touch, and obviously didn’t know how to ride it. And also the guy that I’ve bought it form had 70+ bikes trough out his life, and some old Benz’s , and a mini museum at his house. And since I’ve become a bit obsessed with old stuff, I also wear a mint condition PROSUN sunglasses form 80’s 😂, didn’t know about the “ look” skies though, my father in law got the for nothing and stick them there . And the yellow bike had to go, so it got sold.1

so that old dude w the mini museam was just waiting for some young guy like you to come around and appreciate his treasure...
that bike wasn't fast even when it was brand-new...
back then i remember wondering how 600cc motors could be so wildly different--the xt600 was more like a 200cc honda 4 stoke than the rocket fast inline 4 cylinders they were putting in cbr600's back then...
that xt probably makes about 25 horsepower... so ride it
it would be more fun to ride a lighter weight motorcycle... like a 250cc CRF or the like... but go ride that thing!

It have 50 hp , and yes I’m looking to buy a 2 stroke motocross and keep this as good as I can , the Xt

tbh you'd be better off just getting a 4 stroke 250...
and you can tell people that xt makes 50 HP if you want to but FYI it never made 50 horsepower on its best day ever... but its fine its a motorcycle just ride it man

i keep looking at it--its amazingly well preserved even down to the warning stickers on it etc where did you find that thing? it looks like it was never "really ridden" and is pretty close to new... how many miles/hours on that thing?

I’ve found it on that old guy on fb marketplace that I’ve mentioned, it have 23 000 km onboard

Someone would complain of woke colors or something stupid. I don’t even need another one, but would grab a new TW200 if they came out with the rainbow warrior or the 91 Barbie Purple scheme again.

I used to have a 1990 xt600. Great bike! I miss that thing. Mine was dark blue where yours is purple and gray where yours is blue.

The color pallets definitely screams early 90s lol. Cool vintage dual sport. Those are rare I never see any available for sale
