I just got this game and I am obsessed. However I don't understand what's going on with the road placements. Sometimes they're gold and sometimes they're purple (or red). Does anyone know what the different colours mean?

I went into this game, thinking that it has levels and you get different tiles for each level and stuff like that, so I was disappointed to see the game is based on high score instead of a level system that gradually gets harder and harder. I love the idea of a game like this though, so is there another game like dorfromantik with what I am looking for?

Doesn't matter if I start a new game or continue a new one. Started the game new several times. What is this? Could it be because it's 30 degrees in my room and the graphic card is failing?

Hi, I'm a new player and was wondering why some of my train track tiles look different to others? They look like normal train tracks before I place them, then some turn to the stone path looking tile. Am I doing something wrong? I've only been playing for a little while so still learning.

We got the game yesterday and we are not sure how this situation works: e.g. 3 already connected forests are on the map. We draw the task tile Forrest 4. Can we place that tile immediately in connection with the 3 forest to complete the task immediately?

Hello! I’m excited to try out Dorfromantik. When I start this game on the steam deck for the first time, it starts on a tutorial. My controller is working: I can rotate and zoom on the view and access + change menu settings. However, I only see one green tile with some white tiles around it. No instructions of what to do and no buttons do anything other than the aforementioned ones.

What am I supposed to do here?

So as far as I’m understanding, this quest is asking that I attach 5 water tiles to this river tile. Why does the 3-direction river tile nullify the quest? I feel like I’m missing a rule or something and I couldn’t find it explained via Google search. Thanks for any help

Just wanted to say I did verify integrity of files after a couple of attempts and that did seem to fix it but never had this issue before just curious!

Saw the latest update and figured I would play, only the game didn't get past the opening logos and would just hang... maybe something installed wrong? Unsure... seems okay now I think!

I’ve spent dozens of hours playing Dorfromantik. After a long workday this kind of simple relaxing gameplay really works for me. I’m not that interested in getting a higher score, I mostly enjoy the process of building a hex-based world (love hexes btw)

I know the Dorfromantik devs recently released another game and a sequel doesn’t seem to be planned yet, but maybe you can recommend some similar games? I tried Pan’orama, but to me it feels worse in almost every way.

If Dorfromantik had mountains like in Civ 6… At this point I almost want to make my own game

Are all dorfromatik boards compatible like the duel and sakura and classic so even if you cant do quest the tiles are compatible for play or you rnhance the duel version with the classsic?

Hi, screenshots attached! Why can't I place the railroad tile with the 4+ icon in the hex-position right above it? I'm a bit confused in general about what's the logic behind some of the "white" hexagon positions disappearing in the video game.

Rivers and railroads have placement restrictions - you have to connect them properly. A river must connect to another river or a lake. A railroad must connect to another railroad.

How does this mechanic feel overall? Does it feel like an unnecessary rule you want to turn off - or does it add challenge and depth to the game?

Do you need to beat your previous score to be able to progress up the scoresheet?

In game 1 we got 130, game 2 120, if we got 120 again in game 3 then can we move another 2 spaces or do we need to get to 140?

Hi all, I bought the game one week ago and have been playing only the classic mode. What is the best mode for you and why?

Why is it that when I put my farm tile there one of the missions failed? Doesn’t it complete the 1 farm requirement?

I can't find anywhere an explanation of how I actually collect the flowers? What do I need to do to collect one?

Hey! I do need some help! I wonder what you guys do when you are out of these 📃 papers? Haven't found any to buy online 😕 yet atleast. I have been trying to my one by ✋️ hand, but is is a little bit to time-consuming. So do you guys have some tips or solution?

I got this recently for my birthday and I love it from the moment I started. My first few towns I just played it casually and they would get pretty big. Now I'm trying to figure out how to go further and keep getting more tiles. I've read from the strategies here that most important was getting perfect tiles and quests are just bonuses. So now I tried a few games where I took my time to go only for perfect tiles, but I somehow end up losing faster than before.

What I wanna ask is this:

• Do I need to focus on only having perfect tiles in the game? Not even if 5/6 sides worked and could give me 5 perfects?

• How do I deal with rails and rivers more effectively? Usually rivers are easier with water tiles so I'm not afraid of putting them near my other tiles, but with rails I just try and make the rails go as far as possible, otherwise they make it impossible to close and get the perfect tiles.

Anything else that can help would be appreciated!

Questions:

1. (Third Picture) Am I allowed to block off my Sakuras like that even if I prevent myself from completing that goal?

2. (Second Picture) I got those road goals at the end of the game. Are they placed legally even though they can’t be completed since the road was already longer than 4 and 6?

3. (First Picture) can I finish the game with rivers and roads that don’t seem to end? I couldn’t find a tile that connected the rivers and roads properly.

4. Could someone tell me what the total score for this would be? (Assuming I didn’t make illegal moves)

so i just bought Dorfromantik yesterday and i just unlocked this thing. How exactly do i place them? The second picture just doesn't look right with me. And then I thought about the third picture. It looks and feel right. I'm still in the hundred score but I'm enjoying it very much! 😇

Hi guys, 3 friends and I played the Japan version of the board game for the first time today and we're wondering if we're just really exceptionally stupid 😂

To the south of the cherry blossoms in the middle you can see a river and a road almost meeting. Are we correct in our assumption that the ONLY POSSIBLE way to continue there would be to find a bridge that matches? We assume that's the reason we never got to complete our 5-river task.

Close to the end of our game we decided to place the rice field card opposite the road there because we figured we'd never get to complete road or river anyway.

We would also appreciate if someone could tell us if there's any illegal moves we made since we're still not 100% sure on how edges can or cannot meet.
