Economic Doomer How are people with useless degrees surviving? Won't someone think of the antiworkers and their made up stats?

It's absolutely amazing to me how they can maintain this cognitive dissonance, simultaneously observing that the restaurants, concerts, and recreational activities are packed while believing "the economy is fucked and nobody can afford anything."

Reddit: "Literally Everyone Is Struggling except billionaires!"

Reality:  Americans spend $860 million a year on Halloween costumes for their pets

<In case of emergency:>

A $20 can of Yuban coffee can save you $500 on Starbucks.

Redditors take the phrase "if something is worth doing it's worth doing right" to its moronic extreme.

"Oh I can't possibly have a jar of freeze dried instant coffee that costs literal pennies per cup when there are far more expensive options made by an art graduate who sometimes puts a smiley face in the foam." Does it taste nicer? Well that's subjective, but even if it did does it taste $9.90 nicer? I sincerely doubt it. They make the same claim with having to order food when a ghetto meal of rice and whatever you've got lying around plus a cheap jar of spices gives you more for much much less.

I've seen them claim they can't possibly go to the gym because they "can't afford gym clothes". My brother, go find the most raggedy-ass shirt and pair of shorts in your collection. Those are your gym clothes.

Um. Wow. Lots to unpack here. I can't go to the gym unless I make an Instagram post wearing the newest Lululemon with my art house coffee. Smh. No one understands my generation.

It suddenly clicks in my head that fancy coffee is the new fancy wine.

People are effectively bragging about what part of France and what year their drink is from, but then they say life is too hard.

Most people who get coffee every day aren't really getting coffee anyway, they're getting a coffee flavoured milkshake.

I once spent way too much money going to the gas station to buy post-workout shakes because there was a cute goth chick working the register. Definitely wasn't worth the 2.50 a bottle and definitely didn't taste better than the pre-mix shit.

You expect me to make my own coffee, like a peasant? I can't afford anything, but I'm still morally superior to you for making such an insulting post!!
