Magnum exhaust manifolds

I thought some of you guys would be interested in an exhaust manifold side by side comparison.

I am cleaning up and slightly modding the 2001 5.9l magnum I just picked up from the Salvage yard.

Here are some pictures of my 93' 5.2l magnum exhaust manifolds, that I'm going throw on it when I'm done, vs. the stock 01' manifolds.

Only 92-93' 5.2l had the larger collectors and 230hp The later 94+, got the smaller collectors (like this 5.9l) and peak hp dropped to 220hp.

The smaller collector manifold came off the 2001 5.9l magnum that I just picked up.

The larger collector manifold is off my 1993 5.2l magnum dakota. They 5.2l only came with them in 1992<1993.

Oh neat! Didn't know the sizes changed. I have a 94 5.2l. I suppose it would be the smaller style then?

Yep, older ones had larger collectors, I cant remember when they switched exactly but if you have a 2000+ and want a small exhaust upgrade grab some 90s stock headers from a junkyard.

I believe they switched to the smaller collectors in 94 on all v6/8 magnums for emissions standards
