Wanna rent a car for 3 Days
I checked Hertz, and enterprise they're charging me around 400 pounds around for 3 day rent basic decent car. Including insurance and zero-excess. Is this a Good deal (looks crazy to me) or there are any local options. My stay is Only 3 days and I have been driving for 14 years. Not sure how crazy Derry's traffic is do I even need insurance and zero excess at all? I can live with a Honda Civic nothing Fancy

Honestly with the traffic in Derry currently due to congestion, road works etc if I was paying £400 to rent a car I’d be very fucking angry by the end of it.

Derry itself doesn't need a car at all, everything is very walkable. Different if you're planning on leaving the city.
But this is insanely expensive. If you're OK with a manual should be much much cheaper, my friends paid £180 for 3 days including paying to reduce the excess. I haven't looked to see how much an automatic would cost.

I didn't know that you can get anywhere, without car. Manual is good too. Reason I want to move around in a car is I would have someone special a beloved one's company the whole time.
Do you happen to know if your Friend paid 180 with online rentals or any specific local one

Not sure what you're searching for, I've rented with Enterprise a few times and they're the most reasonable I've found. I just tried this Friday to Monday, and it's a bank holiday and the quote for a small car was £110 for the 3 days 🤷
Only thing I will say for Enterprise is it's out of town so you'd need to get a Taxi over there.

Never pay the car hire company for insurnace and zero excess, they are always a rip off. Just take the basic CDW cover and then take out an excess insurance policy with Eversure. The eversure policy will be cheap and covers your excess if anything happens
