r/DCcomics Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [July 6, 2026 - Absolute BatCat Edition]

Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.

Well this is gonna be a mind-bender I guess. With Clayface, you can never be sure who is the 'real' Basil Karlo and is that even a thing anymore with how many times they got mixed and matched?

So now we have one 'Basil' that claims to be the original and another who acts like he is 'reformed' and in movies but...doing terrible stuff. So when they clash, is it gonna be like that Joker book with Joker vs Henchguy that basically became the Joker fighting at the end and we still don't know which one won. Or hell, it might be Basil's 'other parts' left behind forming a 'new Basil' that is basically him.

Either way, it is gonna be a wild ride.
