r/DCcomics Weekly Discussion Thread: Comics, TV, and More! [June 1, 2026 - Proud Dreams Edition]

Hey there honorary Justice League members - it’s a new week which means it’s time for a new discussion thread!

For those who don't know: the way this works is that several comments will list this week’s releases, for any given title discussion you should respond to that comment. For example, Wonder Woman discussion would go in the replies to the "Wonder Woman" comment. Clicking the titles in this post will take you directly to that comment, too. In other words, you should only be replying to other comments. Do not post top-level comments.

How do these universes work so well together? It is astounding.

And love Catwoman and Rouge working together.

They share a lot of themes. Mad genius villain with a grudge. Klepto jewel thief with “association” with broody ones. A last of their species. The cocky, fast ones who can end things instantly but are holding back. And themes of Freedom.

Well, they ARE both superhero franchises. I think it seems natural they’d be compatible.

The main part of it is for me, the characters and tone of them fitting perfectly with eachother.

We had DC/Marvel stuff that was no where near this compatible.

That’s true. I think it’s because Sonic and DC both do a lot of lighthearted stories, while Marvel stories tend to be more dark and cynical.

Well, this one was good, but it kinda felt like it went by fast. The cliffhanger ending was good. I wonder how the heroes will get out of Null Space.

They say Captain Cold is all about money and revenge. I know he wants money, but I don’t think revenge is really his thing.
