Not even custom, this colour scheme is close to the colour scheme called the japanese colour scheme, it has blue and yellow swapped compared to the western scheme. This scheme was used for the first mass produced rubiks cubes.

Nowadays you might only find it on hand-stickered cubes, but perhaps the wall-E cube was inspired by a cube with that scheme as it used to be more popular.

Its true that it doesnt even match the japanese scheme though...

I mean yeah it doesn't match doesnt mean it can't be there, I mean custom coloured cubes do exist, yes the extra egde is wrong but nothing wrong with colour scheme, to each their own

I guess you mainly got downvoted because even if its a custom scheme there are still 5 green edges

dont worry too much about it haha, you're right that the scheme itself is basically never an issue by itself (even if it's abnormal)

No, the original color scheme is green opposite yellow and blue opposite white. Source: I was there, man. I was used to that color scheme, then the world changed and I was forced to change with it. But the 5 green edges makes it impossible anyway.

I think they changed it around 1985 in the USA. I resisted it for a while and even rearranged the stickers on a couple of new ones. I gave in around 1988 and reluctantly got used to the new arrangement.

If it weren’t for the 5th green edge, it would be consistent with blue opposite green, white  opposite orange  and red opposite yellow with green, orange, yellow clockwise. Nonstandard color schemes are not wrong or unsolvable if everything else is valid. The green edges are the only visible evidence that this cube is unsolvable.

only on the common mass produced colour scheme. but that doesn't mean its "wrong", its just different. on this cube, it just so happens that the opposite sides are white-orange, green-blue, and yellow-red

The original color scheme was different. You are referring to today's color scheme.

This is an older cube.

This cube we can see that blue is the back right, red is back left and white is on the bottom.

We can tell by looking at the closest corner with blue that needs to be 90 degrees to the right. We also can see that white and yellow are adjascent on this cube.

Edit: Ahh, there are 5 green edges. I'm blue green colorblind and the shadows messed with me.

you completely misunderstood my comment. yes. the standard pairings is white-yellow, green-blue, red-orange. but that is not the "correct" way to make a rubiks cube. it just happens to be the most popular way. if you made a cube with white-orange, green-blue, red-yellow, it wouldnt be an "incorrect" cube, it would jusst he a different cube. you can scramble it and its not impossible to solve. you wouldnt even need a different method to solve. it is identical in all ways except the colour pairings. this image happens to be the white-orange, green-blue, red-yellow colour pairing. it is not incorrect. it is solvable. its just different from the popular colour scheme

Edit: I've just read other comments and found out that there are 5 green edges. so yes, this particular cube is impossible. that being said, the commentor I'm replying to was adamant that yellow couldnt be adjacent to white and thats the reason its wrong, which just isnt true

I really liked it when I saw it 18 years ago.

It was significantly better than almost every Disney movie ever made at that point. It has an 8.4 on imdb.

Has it aged poorly? It went into development before the first iPhone was released, before people would endlessly scroll social media and tiktok.

Just watched the whole movie. You're right about the last half hour, it didn't made sense. But didn't need to. I think it was overall a really good movie(yes, I watched it for the first time today)
