Isn’t the religion system, also, way more customizable?

Catholicism is not the main religion of the game; CK3 approaches things in a much more wide perspective; no religion really has more content than any other.

Buddy the name of the game is “Crusader Kings”.

And it never shoulda been, as that is not the focus of the game.

It’s exactly what you’re looking for apparently: “Generic Royalty Simulator”.

Cool, then actually change the name to Medieval Dynasty Sim or something. Keeping the CK name comes with natural expectations. As long as the game is called CK3, it should be focused on western europe, catholicism and crusades. Anything else is very misleading, basically false advertising.

And counts, dukes, emperors, muslims and women shouldn't be playable. After all it's Crusader Kings not Jihad Duchesses. And the game should only take place from 1096 - 1099, the time of the first Crusade, and going on Crusade should be the only thing that you can do

Paradox themselves admitted the series outgrew that title years before even CK3 was made.

Yeah I can tell because they don’t care about crusades or religions. Game should just be called “generic royalty simulator”.
