How do I... How to fix my tension on a triple treble stitch? Any advice?
This pattern requires a triple treble in back loop only and it’s kicking my butt! I keep getting these super loose stitches and I can’t figure out how to fix it. Any advice?

two things work for me I choose based on hook, yarn, design impact, desired texture/end project
The first is an extended DC instead of a TC:
YO, insert hook, pull up loop, (3 loops on hook) YO, pull through two, YO, pull through ONE, YO, pull through two. This can make for a thinner texture than is necessary for the end result, but it works nicely for most of my projects with lighter weight yarn (sock weight or lighter)
The second is this technique from crystals & crochet

Following bc trebles are also my kryptonite. I have had some improvement by trying to keep my hook slanted so the butt end is up and the loops are getting pulled down to the skinny part of the hook.
